I've been to university since I was 16 though, so I was way more mature than most other 19 y/os at that age and was used to being around other people around the age of my bf.

The thing is, teenagers are biologically primed to be self-obsessed narcissists. A combination of hormones, inexperience, rapid growth, and an underdeveloped frontal lobe of the brain makes them more often than impetuous, flighty, and prone to impulsive decision making and lacking in a proper frame of reference to the adult world. Biologically their bodies are telling them they are at their peak physically, and that more often than not translates into a narrow self-centeredness.
The positive trade offs? A certain tenderness of youth, powerful sexual stamina, firm and lasting erections, and often an eagerness for experience and insatiable curiosity.
Teen boys often have a burning desire to love and be loved, however, that is intoxicating for it's intensity.

I hooked up with a teenager (sixteen) this last summer. He told me he was eighteen but I found out through my little brother that he's actually sixteen.
