What kind of music do you listen to to make yourself feel better when the dysphoria hits you like a train of bricks?
Can be poppy, girly stuff, angry stuff, or anywhere in between.
Pink Floyd - Fearless

Garbage has always been supportive of the lgbt community and Shirley has expressed joy at seeing her trans fans develop.

Completely different, Antony and the Johnsons. Antony is trans and also a brilliant musician so it's great knowing that people can appreciate people like her for something over and above their identity.

Literally every song from Fluke.

I used to listen to Björk when my dysphoria was really bad. I love everything about her

good call

I find girl singers and slow or sad sounding songs just reinforce my dysphoria to no end. Not a good idea, imo.
You should get something entirely unrelated.

Yeah no I'm already slightly depressed, so no thanks.
I feed it/ride it out with Celeste (https://youtu.be/AQN1fJrEv6c) and Hexis (https://youtu.be/n991iwLOIEg).
Basically it kinda helps me force it all out and distracts me so i don't do something stupid. Happy music just makes me feel worse when depressed.
Depends. If I want to try and cheer myself up i'll listen to PC/bubblegum bass or some seapunk/90's rave. If I want to wallow in my self hatred and pity, i'll listen to some witch house.
t b h my dysphoria's been pretty much under control after i got seriously into punk culture, especially the dc's hardcore scene.
i know the music is not for everyone, some people just can't stand it, but the accepting and diy-nature of the culture appeals to me.
i kinda realised i can be/look whatever the way i want and ignore the expectations society sets. of course i feel uncomfortable in my body, especially genital area, but the diy-attitude also encourages me to do everything i can, every day i can, to work my way until i can at least tolerate my body.

Lou Reed went out with a couple transwomen and knew a bunch more. These weren't any of the Warhol Superstars.
