I ask because ever since this friend of mine transitioned to female, everyone they know seems to be very insistent on using very gender-specific words when they're talking to this person. They are verbally bending over backwards to draw attention to the fact that she's a girl now, in what seems like every other sentence they say. For example:

Srsly, look into laser if it's an option. I've only spent about $440 so far and I think I'm 1 or 2 appointments from being done. Depends on your skin type/hair type but if your beard is dark and your skin is light you will have good results that are permanent if you go to a place that's regulated and has the right stuff.

1) fill up your sink with hot water
2) put razor in sink of hot water before you start
3) use warm washcloth and lay it on the places you intend to shave
4) when it gets cold, reheat it by dipping it back in
5) repeat steps 3 & 4 for about 5 minutes

7) take the razor that's been soaking in the hot water this whole time out, shave upward
8) try to minimize the number of shaves you do, and only use 2 bladed razors at most

10) rinse face with cold water
added steps would be use a light cleanser on your face, and then exfoliate lightly before you begin shaving. also never shave two days in a row, and moisturize properly.

Ugh.. when I worked fulltime I would have to shave every day for work and then on the weekend I would literally just sit in my room for 2 days straight hoping my face would recover.
It never fully recovered and I always had to attempt to cover up the shave bumps with concealer and foundation, which made it less red, but emphasized the shitty bumpy texture of my razor burned skin. ;_: god damn that was hellish.
