So I told my parents this weekend and they were both surprised but were both OK with it.
My dad just sort of said "I've known other people who have transitioned and I'm not phased. just be who you are"
My mum seemed pretty happy at the idea of finally having a daughter and was relieved that I had told her and now she knew why I have always been depressed. I told them that I've been thinking about it seriously for the last 3 or so years (which I have) and that I finally wanted to tell them as I feel as though I'm ready to do something about it. I want to start HRT soon and I hope to see more of you guys as I transition. A couple close friends know about it and are willing to help me. But I want to keep it low profile as much as I can until it gets to the point where I can't hide it any more and my friends ask me wtf is happening to me. Wish me luck! I have a serious question. I am a perma-closeted (meaning I will never come out, and that is a choice I have made) mtf transgender person. I do not crossdress, but I do fantasize often about being a woman.
I will honestly never feel complete unless I were a born woman.
Is there ANY possible alternatives to transition -- even temporary - measures that I can do in my mind, online, exc to cope? Because if I ever get to transition or die, I will die -- Transition will never be enough, and I do not feel it is right for me. I'm not at that point yet, however I feel I will be in the future.

I met a binary trans woman last night around my own age who didn't have autism and I hadn't met online first. She was pretty cool and I expressed a few opinions about finding nonbinary transition difficult to understand, people who transition for political reasons as harmful, people that put less effort in, and emphasis on 'passing' as lazy, and how I think an emphasis to get out there and live a normal life is the best way to change society's perception of trans people instead of relying on tumblr blogs and anger, and we talked about hons and general distaste for fetishy transitioners.

Now I've just got to tell my brother and the rest of my family (which thankfully is small, and nobody has been a prick about my gay cousin who won't 100% come out as being gay).
My dad instantly asked if I would like to be referred to as a girl and if I had chosen a name yet which was really nice.
but I forgot to tell him my name and the moment passed so I decided not to awkwardly say "can you call me Ashley please". That can wait till I see them next weekend.
Thankfully, I have a very supportive friend who is XXY and has had some feelings of gender dysphoria himself.
He went and got me some tights this morning which although I don't get a sexual kick out of cossdressing (never liked girly clothes anyway and I don't intend to dress very girly even when I do transition, i'm more of a tom boy) I do fucking love because they feel so comfy and smooth. No annoying leg hairs XP
He's also offered to get me anything I need but am too embarrased to buy myself while I'm still nowhere near passing. How do you people cope with all the anxiety? every time I open my mouth I say something and I end up getting a depressing/sinking feeling in my chest. I just want to be able to do normal people things without the searing self hatred that comes with it every time. I just want to be able to get on with my life, and it's crazy to think that in order for that to happen. I have to go through all this BS ¬.¬
