I watched a shitty documentary about this and it said that it's not actually a lisp as much as it an over-articulated S. Women more frequently use this for whatever reason and men raised with many women in their lives may have picked up on it, so not necessarily gay but just men who consciously/subconsciously paid more attention to the female voices growing up. Some gays may have just picked it up growing up, others consciously or subconsciously begin doing it when they become more open about their sexuality, or not do it at all.

Did you just make that OC, because I have a hard time imagining too many contexts where that pic could be applicable.

There are a lot of pictures of anime girls holding that book.

Inconscious behaviour to signal you're homosexual and therefore, available to other men, since you won't be able to attract men's attention easily if they see you as straight.

I have the same problem but my friends keep telling me that they wouldn't be able to tell if they weren't looking at me while I talk.
I've also fooled some people at drive-thrus but I don't consider those to be reliable...
>Picking up food at BK for my grandma
>"Hi, could I have a number 2 blah blah blah...?"
>That will be whatever dollars at the next window, mam.
>Drive up to give the lady my card...
>"Here you go..."
>Thank you mam.
>The lady swipes the card and turns to give me my card back.
>HOLY SHIT YOU A DUDE! Why didn't you correct me?!
>MFW...

I went to go to see a speech therapist. I can totally nail a girl voice there, but as soon as I try to apply it IRL I just fall apart. What I do is just talk very quietly, which probably isn't very healthy...

I am trans and I sound exactly like a gay guy.
