How do you feel about gay pride?

Pride in something you did nothing to earn, be it being born in a certain country or being born with a certain orientation, is foolish. Pride should be taken only in things you have achieved as an individual.
"Pride" parades, though, are just protests. A "fuck you" on a political scale. They're meant as a "I double dog dare you to do something COME ON DO IT FAGGOT" in order to establish dominance and push homosexuality as normal. Ultimately a good thing as long as those who partake in them don't start actually taking pride in being born a certain way.
I either take pride in being or will to change.
I accept no other choice.
