What Taurus guns aren't shit, or is that mainly just an old meme? I've heard their 85 line of revolvers and the beretta copies are good. Lots of people are mentioning the TCP nowadays.

There is NO TAURUS GUN THAT ISN'T SHIT, drill that into your head.
A while back Taurus bought the machining tools from Beretta to make the pt92 and pumped out some decent 92 clones but being Brazilian monkeys they didn't maintain them and new pt92s are just as garbage as the rest of the lineup.
They also had a run of decent 1911s but that's over now too.
For the price of Taurus you would be better off buying literally fucking any other gun, from a hi point to a canik it would be better than anything a Taurus monkey assembles and quality checks.
PT111 G2 is ok
but you can get better stuff for close to the same price

Taurus is a crapshoot. Their quality control is not great, but they do have a lifetime warrantee. I wouldn't shy away from buying one, just so long as you aren't planning on using it to defend yourself. I know people that have had awesome taurus guns and people that have sent them back for repair/replacement half a dozen times.

Their revolvers are often cheap and fun to shoot. Never had the chance to shoot their peestoles, haven't heard anything good about em though. Wouldn't rely on 'em for anything more than fun.
