Handguns are registered in Michigan. You hand in a paper form to your local LE, who forward it to the state police for entry into the electronic database. Because of this it can take a while for the registration to show up electronically, so you're required to keep a copy with the pistol for 30 days.
Basically we just bought the guns 3 days ago, and the registry info hasn't been uploaded yet, so when the cop ran the info we didn't come up as the registered owners.

If youre going to get one as a fun to drive car go for it. From the perspective of a cop who will get 1 day unpaid suspension for getting in a wreck i hate it. The tint (at least on ours) is too dark. Cant see out the fucking windows or windshield at night. The a and b pillars are too big and right where you need to see, so this results in massive blind spots. Then add in a cage where you have giant pieces of plastic making it hard to see out your rear door windows as well. You have to rely completely on your mirrors and cross your fingers when changing lanes. Also the rear window is too small and too high, you cant see out the back window. Basically it has horrible visibility all around. Its also cramped as fuck (doesnt bother me, im a 5'8 manlet) but everyone i know whos at least 5'10 hates it. It is too cramped in the sense of getting in and out of the door and the steering wheel doesnt adjust far out enough for me. It just fucking sucks. It was built for someone 5'9 with stretch armstrong arms and short stubby legs with really long feet for pedal manipulation. Some sort of genetic mutation to give you a 6th sense since you cant see out the damn thing would help too. It's the perfect car for /k/, it was designed for some mutant from STALKER.
