This. You won't necessarily naturally fall into a good stance, you might have to think about it at first, reposition, practice, etc. Regardless of comfort level, that lean is interfering with your aim. Think of it in raw force and motion:
If you want to prop something somewhere, you lean your stick or whatever forward against it. This directs the forces in advenageous directions, and perhaps more importantly, inherently stable directions. To explain inherent stability, think about trying to push a scooter the wrong way, or backing up with a trailer. The forces are directed such that the bigger the error in position, the more significant the force making the error worse is. This is inherent instability. Conversely, when towing a trailer or pulling a scooter forward, if the back is kicked out it will want to recenter itself, and how far out it is will magnify how much it wants to recenter itself. This is why it is easy to pull a trailer but not so much to reverse with one. You are doing the shooting version of reversing with the trailer, leading the reactive force of firing to push you off of rather than on to balance.
Chick lean directs recoil to push the lot of you back over your heel instead of (an unstable position) instead of down into your feet (a stable position).
tl;dr: shoot leaning in for the same reason you'd rather pull a trailer than back up with one.

Don't know whats up with the extractors on this gun. Bought mine from the gun shop I work at, and it was constantly stripping the round ahead of the extractor so it couldn't go into battery, thankfully we're mostly a Milsurp shop, so we had extras, replaced, haven't had the problem since.

I'll agree that /brg/ gets elitist about FALs, though that's mostly just the resident trip. Having shot both a C308 and a PTR, I can say that both are actually pretty damn good, and their prices are definitely better for someone looking for a first BR.
Also, a garage gun is like less than $1K to DIY, and even the better DSAs tend to hover around $2,000. Three grand is SCAR territory, friend.
