What's the deal with the Takedown Lite?
It's almost exactly the same weight as the regular TD, yet has a shorter barrel and thus more inaccurate with no weight reduction. And the Barrel sleeve shroud (the barrel is not actually perforated) looks like it's just a gimmick.

Yeah, it's no big effect, but still - when there is no weight reduction, why would you want a shortened barrel?

Barrel stiffness & consistent harmonics dictate accuracy.
Barrel length dictates velocity.
Velocity plays a role in accuracy but not nearly to the extent of barrel stiffness.
Don't believe me? Explain why the Anschutz Exemplar target pistol was more accurate than their rifle. Anschutz themselves conducted tests and found that despite their top-shelf target rifle having all the right stuff for crazy accuracy, shortening the barrel to the pistol length improved stiffness and harmonics enough to noticeably improve accuracy.
