Here in France, frankonia is decent for handgun cartridges on choice and prices.
They are expensive in general but sometimes you can have some nice deals.

Not a bad deal: Mercury rifles are made for Frankonia by Sabatti in Italy. We had some problems with mag fed ones in the past, but they will go bang if you pull the trigger and don't shoot all that bad. The scope is nice and and swing mount is too. .308 will kill shit dead while being available everywhere from every manufacturer.

Sadly it's not an original, but rather a remake by Norinco. It's rough, it's dirty and it's shitloads of fun. I would feel bad doing the stuff I do with it to an original '97 trench gun.

Depends.
There are some small gun stores where you can great deals and some where they scalp you and then ask for a tip. You can find some great deals at Big F (if you lurk the used page and call immediately and reserve it, or if you keep an eye on the sales events), but most of it is overpriced.
I had my best luck with egun and the VDB used market.

It has to do with our completely fucked systems and the HQ messing with everything. It creates nothing but trouble for customers and us. Upper levels ignore that stuff and keep talking about "synergy", "harmonizing" and other assorted BS.

I've had only limited exposure to it.
I prefer the cylinder release on S&Ws in general, just pushing it feels more natural.
In terms of accuracy I haven't shot a 686 nearly enough to make a meaningful statement about it, but they're supposed to be pretty accurate.
Parts availability is a giant plus for the 686, since there are no parts left for the Python. If the crane gets fucked you've got a paperweight.
The triggers on the Match Master and stuff are nice.

Good question. I've never really compared it. Bit above average I'd say. I need glove size 9 to 10.
