Hey /k/ I'm planning on buying my first gun for home defense and I was wondering how would this do.
>>
>>30596983
it's good because pistols don't overpenetrate
>>
>>30596983
go to a gun store and buy one, mossberg 500 would be my recommendation. maverick 88 for cheaper
>>
>>30596983
Crackheads usually don't go down in one shot, so you'll need something bigger
>>
>>30596983
now i want to make a "signaling" stake for my heer mod. 26
>>
>>30596991
That's what I thought too. If the intruder is hidden behind a door it could be problematic to try to shoot him with a 9mn, right?

>>30596995
I will look into it, thanks.

>>30597001
Any suggestions?

Get an old-school, heavy barreled 26.5mm flare gun, roll your own custom 4-bore shells for it.
>>
>>30596983
OP that's not for him who opens the door, but indeed for the one who knocks.
>>
>>30597019

Word of advice, don't shoot through doors. Prosecutor will wreck you.

Good guess. I guess we're considered part of the south west though.
>>
>>30598283

If there were some low mountains in the distance would look just like PA. Potter County PA is called God's Country for some reason. Probably because nobody lives there.

Man, that's beautiful. I sure do like my plainslands though.

All my pics are northern OK. Right west of I35 is where it really starts to become flat and treeless.
>>
>>30598449
That cloud looks like a dick
>>
>>30598388
Really miss PA a lot honestly. I went to school up near that area in Williamsport, and I really regret not getting out into the surrounding areas and counties and seeing what natural beauty was around more.
>>
>>30598274

Well i live in South East PA with all the scum.
Unfortunately it's where all the jobs are.
>>
>>30598802
Philly area?
>>
>>30598821
A bit more southern than that but it is considered the Philadeliphia Metropolitan Area.
Philly is a great town, not as killy as people assume. Wilmington is much worse.
>>
>>30598843
I never thought it was particularly "killy", but for some reason it's always felt like the dirtiest and most unaesthetic city I've ever been to.

Also, I've always thought it was weird how far from the city the "Philly suburbs" seem to stretch.

I live just west of Williamsport, lots of cool shit to be found around here. Especially if you have a good 4x4 or ATV.
>>
>>30598871
i know what you mean, the poor road quality really hurts the image of the city as.

>Also, I've always thought it was weird how far from the city the "Philly suburbs" seem to stretch.

That's cause niggas always tryna get out da hood and then invariably move back once they realize that horses shit on roads.
It's been like a cycle throughout my life of people who are obviously from Philly moving out here and then leaving in one or two years but on the southern end you also have Lancaster city area so SEPA is really just suburbs for one city or another. It's really taxing on the Amish desu
>>
>>30598891
i've been wondering, how much of Pennsyltucky is open to exploration?
>>
>>30598891
One of my potential end-goals is to end up back there teaching at the school I went to, at which point I could actually invest in stuff like that as opposed to when I'm a poor college student.

>>30598936
Lots of state parks and state game lands. Most of the north of the state is just forests. Even in the south, between Harrisburg and Pittsburgh you have a lot of good state/national lands thanks to the Appalachians.
>>
>>30598259
he shot his fucking wife through the bathroom door, not a home invader. you can only shoot short term life endangering invader , not long ones
>>
>>30598947

Too bad it takes half a day to get to the middle of the state. Good vacation destinations though.
I remember going to pine creek gorge a couple of times.

Tanks get bloodthirsty when they're hungry anon.

Pic related, a tank bearing it's teeth.
>>
>>30598936

A lot of it, Centralia gets a lot of hype for the whole "being of fire, forever" thing, but there's lots of other neat trails and sites on state game land. A lot of old coal and oil ghost towns, pit mines, There's a radioactive exclusion zone in the Quehanna wild area, a sort of lakes and rivers. Much of it doesn't have much in the way advertisement so you have to talk to locals to find it. I lived here pretty much my whole life and still discover new things within walking distance of my house.
>>
>>30599261
Not him, but to add, apparently Rickett's Glen is one of the nationally known parks in PA for its ridiculous amount of waterfalls. Worth checking out if you're ever in the north/northeastern part of the state.

Yeah Ricketts Glen is nice, I've been there many times. At the risk of sounding like a complete hillbilly I used to smuggle moonshine to the Job Corp center that sits on top of the mountain there. Used to be an Air Force base back in the 50's, Still has an FAA radar tower there.

I'm down, I live near Lock Haven, almost dead-center of the state.

Grew up just outside of Wilmington. Heard less gunfire while deployed to Kandahar. Also collapsing job market so had to move for work. Decent gun laws compared to 2/3 of its neighbors though

>>30599508
Correct. It's wonderful here. I'd love to setup some long range shooting areas over here
>>
PA cops are getting spooky with their Chargers.

In my area they set themselves up so you can seem them and slow down before they have to go after you.

Anon there are two types of people in this world.
People who prepare for the possibility that the Himeji castle will break into their house and people who get killed in home invasions.

>>30598981
