Got myself a sig sp2022 for my first handgun on my 21st...how good of a choice was this?
Also, ignore the beer, had to get something to accomodate others who dont like real beer.

I gave some to a friend of mine and he refused to believe it was beer until I let him read the bottle.
A fine choice, young man. SP2022 9mm was my first handgun as well, and it's a fine DA/SA to learn with.
A word of advice - you will need to practice a lot with this handgun. Yes, I know, I'm going to say

But it is true for this SIG, but that's not a bad thing. You will just need to train more than you might think. What I recommend is loading 1 mag with 2 or 3 rounds, and 1 mag with 1 round. Have two targets - one man sized for the 2/3 round mag, then reload and hit another target, preferably a decent sized gong.
This will help you familiarize yourself with both DA and SA operation, reloading, and help you improve your accuracy on a weapon with a higher bore axis than most.
I will not lie, my poor SP2022 has not seen a lot of range time for a while since I carry a SIG320 9mm Compact, and train the most with that, but good luck anon.
As Colion Noir says, this is one of the LEAST talked about guns out there that is one of the BEST value guns on the market. It is very similar to other DA/SA sigs, and is a great first gun!
