I recently learned there are bigbore air guns capable of taking down deer and bear, do you have any experience with those OP?

those are the most expensive PCP tier anon, with the money you spend on em you can buy several shotguns if not a dozen and it's a bit of exaggeration I'd say. I'm more of a spring break barrell guy myself

yep. Pic related - my two babies (Walther LGV and AirArms s400f)

Air rifles are a lot of fun to mess around with, shooting bottle cap-sized targets at 55 yards is very relaxing, and air rifles are a superior choice for most pest control tasks (depending on the size of your pests though - recently there's been a huge influx of pests of the snackbar variety in EU).

It's my old man's old bb gun. Supposedly his older brother found it without a stock in a dumpster when they were kids. My grandpa, his dad, is a great woodworker, so he fashioned a new wood stock for it.

TL;DR: 30+ years old by my guess.

high-end spring > gas ram. But we're talking top tier springers, like the LGV i posted earlier, LGU, HW97, Tx200 and ProSport, to name but a few.

Gas piston has a much lower sound register though, perfect for popping skittish pests.

It's a beauty anon. I hope you pass it to your children.

>>30584318
I fancy springs mostly not because the power but it's cheap to replace them and it feels more nostalgic.

that's only true for the lower end springers. And we can just use silencers in EU, and PCPs are even quieter.

Granted, you'd have to spend $500+, so that's something to consider.
