How would you like someone to make a proper WWI FPS, /k/? I ask because Battlefield One is less a WWI game than a Battlefield game with a WWI skin.
verdun already exists tho

Basically RO2 with no semiautos/autos/MGs and more horses.
>Take RO2
>get rid of most of the semi automatic rifles and most of the submachine guns
>add big artillery guns
>add gas
>emphasize on melee combat and make it fukken brootal
>make every map like Mamayev Kurgan
>64v64 player servers
>>30580582
>>30580587
Let's throw in some really strange classes into that, like a grenadier class that doesn't have a gun, only a melee weapon and like 10 to 20 grenades.
>>30580587
Wish there were more maps like Mamayev. Tired of Bridges of Druzhina
>>30580587
>every map like Mamayev Kurgan
Yes, god yes.
Verdun, basically.
>>30580587
>Red Orchestra 2 with dedicated melee weapons
>64 man charges that end with over a hundred players frantically swinging sharpened entrenching tool at each other in extremely cramped trenches
Holy shit make it happen
Pretty much Verdun, like everyone else said in terms of core shooting mechanics, maybe a bit more polished like RO2 plus vehicles like planes, tanks and horses, chuck in some destruction like the new Battlefield, and melee focus like >>30580797 said.
Oh, and Planetside 2 scale, everyone on a couple of servers dynamically fighting over like a near scale Verdun map or something, with fronts and sectors shifting as weeks go on, man that would be so dope.
TL;DR Planet Orchestra 2: WWI edition.
Also, I want a massive Wargame scale WWI strategy title and a grand strategy game, but I'll probably never see that.

I want a Total War: WW1 game. I know a few people have done mods, but i want a full fledged CA version
>>30580946
Total War can't handle aircraft. At all.
>>30581429
I mean, theyre trying with......gyocopters and flying units in TW Warhams
>>30580946
Total War's engine couldn't simulate battlefield tactics/troop deployments any later than the Crimean/Franco-Prussian war era.
>>30581429
I wish they'd just accept that the engine they used pre-Empire was better and they should make a new one because the current one is shit.
>>30581516
Even Crimea and Franco-Prussian had trench warfare and dispersed fire and movement respectively, so maybe Civil War period, (a little later than the Crimean War, but more representative of TW line battles).

Awesome idea. Would buy.
