The point is: I can, so I did. And now I will enjoy driving this truck wherever I want!

Allison Automatic. 5 speed, with hi-lo transfer case.
>>
>>30572147
How much did you pay for the truck? How slow is its max speed and how's the MPG?
Is it one of those multi-fuel engines that can burn literally anything that's combustible?
>>
>>30571644
>Pic related, just got it yesterday.

GtFO really?

Can we take a ride?
>>
>>30572169
~$8k with some extra goodies and a full tank of gas, it has a max speed of 63mph, and the gas mileage is poor, somewhere between 5-10mpg.
This is not a multifuel engine, it is a 8.3L Cummins diesel.

>>
>>30572248
It runs great. Starts up instantly, everything works as it should. The only downside is that the a tire, or multiple tires, are out of balance, which can make for quite the ride at certain speeds. Seems to be a common problem for these trucks, but nothing a new set of tires or shaving/buffing the current set wouldn't fix.
>>
>>30572248
Tools wise, I currently only have the ability to fix small things, since I only have "car-sized" sockets, wrenches, etc. Nothing for heavy lifting. Fuel wise, it holds 81 gallons of diesel, and fuel is cheap around here, so at $1.99/gal it is around $160 for a full tank.

No those are Humvees
They came with either a 6.2L or 6.5L GM built diesel designed by Detroit.
They're gutless, if you maintain it and only use it as a commuter it will last. If you tow/haul or rag it out it won't last.

If it's a pistol with a stock, it's a short-barreled rifle. If it doesn't have a stock, it's a pistol.

What are laws on "re-activating" weapons like this? Also what country?

Not that guy but yes Yuros make the distinction via caliber not barrel lenght unless modified to an extent where authorities have to be informed. To my knowlege (in Germany for this example) its primarily about modification downwards though so a rifle caliber revolver would be classified as a handgun while a pistol caliber carbine is still a pistol no matter how long the barrel.
Reactivation means relicensing after parts replacement as deactivation is aimed at making it impossible to safely reactivate. Since the last EU reform that changed as they are now planning to treat everything that can be converted into a firearm as such. Yes thats insanely vague and would also include nails and copper pipes but how else are we supposed to crack down on those evil blank guns.

I suppose this is as good a thread as any to ask

I'm in a bit of a pickle here /k/. I really want a USP45. I REALLY REALLY want a USP45. my finances haven't been looking as good as I want them to, I'm still in a good place, but I'm still below a place I want to be by a few hundos. I have three paychecks this month, meaning I have about $1300 or so extra for the month after bills, but I've been spending a lot on fast food and such lately since I've been visiting the hospital a lot.

enough of the background. I wanted to get a USP45 from Sportsman's Guide for 800. I still have 2 paychecks left so I could theoretically afford it. however, this is not a perfect world, and I may end up continuing my trending purchases, on top of that, I need to buy ammo as I'm on my last boxes. my LGS has a $1000 USP45T, and $600 USP45C, and they accept layaway. should I put either of these on layaway, get my bills out of the way, and pay it off after, or wait until the end of the month when I have all my finances figured out, and just go with the normal USP?

tl;dr
>wanna USP45
>$800 sportsman's guide
>not broke, but not preferably wealthy
>2 more paychecks
>more bills/spending including ammo for semiweekly range trip
>can maybe afford USP at end of month after I figure shit out
>or I can put $1000 USP45T or $600 USP45C on layaway at LGS and make more payments later
>or I can save my money (yeah right) like a responsible adult

what do?
>>
>>30584309

Just get an FNX45 they're better.
>>
>>30583315
No, buy mac 10 and put it in Uzi bag.
>>
>>30584309
I personally don't like the USP tactical, the huge TACTICAL engraving on the slide is cringeworthy and the sights aren't great, the standard is fine, if you want to put a can on it later then you can buy a threaded barrel and better suppressor height sights for cheaper than the difference. Also I wouldnt put anything on layaway. They are still making USPs so there's no rush.
The compact is really nice, but unless you plan on concealing it I'd stick with the standard.
>>
>>30584587
thanks m8. my main concern with the compact was the recoil. I'm no sissy, but I want a smoothshooting .45. rented a 1911 and that was near orgasmic, can only imagine how nice the USP will feel. think I'll wait for thr end of the month and get the normal one.
>>
>>30584145
