Which is more /k/ approved? And do kommandos consider the garand a battle rifle?

M1A is Springfield Inc's trademarked commercial line of rifles. Nothing to do with military rifle development.

I consider the Garand a battle rifle. It might not be able to compete with the 3 titans that emerged in the 1950's, but the Garand was also developed 20 years before them. It was the gold standard on the battlefield in WWII

It's a 1st generation battle rifle (a term only I use). It's in the same group as the SVT 40, the G41/43, the AG42, the FN 49, and the Mas 44 and 49.

Yuh, get an svt40, then get a bayonet for it. But don't shoot it because they are a pain to clean.
