Fun, interesting from a design perspective. Not practical in any way though.
>>
>>30548081
would love to own one one day
>>
>>30548081
way too expensive these days
>>
For self defence? Collecting ?or just general I want to have one? Good for everything aside from self defence.
>>
they're neat for collecting for the design and history.

you could get two and have one of them threaded for a suppressor. So you can shoot people and leave no loud noises or cases.

I bought one a few years back.

Interesting little piece of history. I stocked up on some ammo and only actually shoot it maybe 3-4 times a year. It's a pain in the ass to load, and the empty casings have a tendency to get stuck inside the cylinders. Other than that, it's a fun little shooter.

Pic related is mine.

I don't really see the point in them, but they're cool.
I prefer the OG Russian revolver though.

I want one. I only see them on gunbroker now for obnoxious prices. Before the happening they were 89 bucks. Does anyone know where I can get one or two cheap?

>mfw I should have bought them a long time ago
>>
>>30548081

It's junk.

Shitty loading gate
Proprietary cartage (although there is a .38 conversion kit
God awful trigger pull

If you didn't buy them 6 years ago when they were dirt cheap, don't bother.

Love mine. I wish I had a whole case.
>>
>>30548081
I've got 2, Tula and Izhevsk, they're fun, that's about it
>>
>>30548081
The Swedish and Norwegian versions don't have the cylinder sealing action, and have a lighter and smoother trigger pull as a result. Ammo is harder to come by, however.
>>
>>30548081
Mechanically interesting, but terrible trigger pull.

Fires garbage rounds too.
>>
>>30548081
they are a cooler idea, but even cooler on TV.
I screen capped this from the newest episode of preacher.
>>
>>30551904
another screencap from the same scene.

Interesting weapon that works.
Not even good at what it does but it's neat in how it does it.
I have two, thinking about threading one
>>
>>30551975
sell one to me for like...50 bucks.
>>
I missed these by about a year. Really would like to have one in my collection, but there's no way I'm paying $300 or more for one.

That scene really got my potassium flowing. I was watching it thinking "Damn it Hollywood, you can't suppress a revolver!" and then I saw it was a Nagant and was quite pleased that I was wrong.

Still an odd choice of gun; but props to them for picking the one revolver that can actually be suppressed.
>>
>>30552011
They're too expensive and I think no one should sell their guns once they privately own them.
>>
>>30552041
it gave me a roll over on sight.
>>
>>30552057
privately own them? as to publicly own them?

Fun to play with but overall a shitty revolver.

I still can't believe I picked this one up last year for $120.

Ten years ago, but a Nagant for $80, drop another $40 for the .32acp conversion cylinder and you had a rugged and reliable double action revolver for the price of a Saturday Night Special.

Currently, it's like all early 20th Century military surplus. The supply is drying up and it's one defining feature as a beginner's firearm, being dirty cheap, is no longer a factor.

It's still an interesting design. The gas seal feature means it's the only off the shelf revolver that can be easily suppressed.

And the basic Nagant design is contemporary with the Colt SAA. Everyone in Europe made a variant. So it's a relatively inexpensive piece of history if you want to pick one up.

Pic is a non gas seal Swedish Nagant in 7.5mm.

I have this love hate relationship with mine. It was my first handgun, my only revolver currently. However I don't like the trigger and I can't hit shit with it, where as I can hit things just fine with my Tok at the same distance.

I'll never get rid of it though, its a fun little gun nonetheless. Been thinking of picking up one of those 1000rnd cans of surplus from SGammo, probably would never run out with as much as I shoot it right now.

can anyone please take a photo of thier holster with a ruler beside it (or a dick provided you are honest with the scale)
