I would order a complete upper, buy a stripped lower locally, then order the rest of the parts online and build from there. You'll need a roll pin punch set to assemble the lower. If you go that route you'll also be able to pick out your grip and stock to taste.

The trigger in this kit already seems pretty similar, compared to the ALG ACT http://algdefense.com/alg-combat-trigger-act.html
What caught my eye is the ALG ACT is nickel-teflon coated and so is the BCM trigger in the kit. Would be slightly cheaper to just get the BCM kit vs the Stag+ALGtrigger but if the ALG ACT is worth it then I'll go for it.
What are some higher end triggers, out of curiosity? I've heard of Geissele (250$ range from what I can tell) and you mentioned Timney (looks like the same price range).
