Skip .380 because it's an extremely marginal terminal performer. Edge goes to something like a M&P Shield in 9mm, a Glock 43, or a Walther PPS.
If you want a meme carry gun, pick up a Desert Eagle in .44 Magnum.
If you want a good carry gun, find a 1911 Gov't in .45 ACP.

Get a good carry gun, OR/AND a good full size. They best gun is the one you have with you. I don't care if you have a Cabot 1911, a nigers hi point jam o matic can kill you if you don't have your gun on you. I have a sig 938- 9mm on a 1911 type platform. And a glock 40 in 10mm for range toy/truck gun. If you need one to be both, a double stack 9mm will be fine.

I think it's a bad idea to get such an expensive gun you're gonna pay a shit ton in ammo for. Don't get me wrong, I love the Five-seveN. But if you've never shot before you're gonna spend a ton on ammo to get good at it. Also there's only one other gun you'll be able to buy that uses the same ammo, which is the PS90, the civilian variant P90. When you eventually want another gun, having ammo you can use in both is nice.
It does hold 20 + 1 though, so that's a nice advantage. Also it fires super well, has little recoil and just just an overall awesome gun IMO.
My advice is to find a gun store and ask to hold a few guns and find what feels comfortable in your hands. If they're really bro tier and will let you try out the gun with the holster you can see how much of a struggle it is to conceal a large gun like the Five-seveN. Yeah, you can do it, but I like to wear shorts and a shirt myself so I go with something smaller.
Since you can only get one, I'd get a single stack 9mm like the M&P shield or Glock 43. They're super concealable, ball ammo is cheap to practice with, you can buy plenty of personal defense ammo and practice with that as well since you have such a big budget.
Really, though, we can't tell you the best gun to get because we don't know what you like and what trade-off you're willing to make. Don't spend all of your money on the gun. Be prepared to spend some of it renting guns and finding something you like shooting. Get to hold some guns and learn what makes them all different and the trade offs you'll make (such as smaller size means more concealable but less shots and more recoil) Save some money for ammo and future range time to practice.

It can be. Lighter weight guns are always gonna have more recoil than heavier guns shooting the same ammo. If you have smaller hands, you'll be able to control it fine.
But really, the best way to do this is be prepared to drop maybe $100-$200 on a day at the range (depending on how expensive they charge for shit, how much time you spend). Find a place that has as wide of a selection of guns as you can find near you. You have a huge budget and you're probably not gonna spend half of it unless things are hugely overpriced.
Start with a Glock 19 or 17. Think of it as the "baseline" gun. The glock 19 is the #1 handgun in America, as far as sales and popularity go. The 17 is the full-size variant of the 19 and I'm a fan of full size guns (longer barrels are more accurate, heavier guns are more stable, full size guns can hold more, but all at the expense of not being concealable and also heavier to carry). Then try some guns you think look cool. Pay attention to the weight, how the trigger feels, the size, how it feels in your hands. Try a .45, maybe you can shoot more accurately with that. Talk to the dudes at the counter. If they aren't dicks, they can probably tell you what they like OR maybe guns you should also try if you liked the last gun you shot.
