Op here, wood and metal is the way to go brother. Though I do have some polycrap like my ar15 and sp1. Won't mind getting glocks either but that's about it.
Marlin 1894. First and only. Waiting for about another month before I buy some tools and start building an AR.
My first gun was a S&W 22A. I wanted something cheap with cheap ammo when I got into shooting in 2010. I'm still very happy with the gun, even if I can't find enough 22 to replace my stock often enough to shoot it as often as I'd like. Always very accurate, and only reliability problems have been with shitty ammo. Only downside is the limited aftermarket, not that it actually needs anything.
