What's the best compact 9mm? And why is it the GLOCK 19 ?
>>
Because it's a basic ass pistol that's reliable with a huge aftermarket support and cheap magazines that work well.
>>
>>30520669
That's a strange way to spell USPc.
>>
>>30520673
If it's basic why does it cost more than its competitors ? Can pick up any other striker fired compact for less. Walther,s&w, ruger, Springfield etc
>>
>>30520683
For $750.00 it better be the best.
>>

>If it's basic why does it cost more than its competitors ?

Because it became popular so it sells on brand name.
>>
>>30520673
seals use it. your argument is invalid
>>
>>30521114
I never said it was bad.

They're the same exact price, around $550. I've owned both. Glock is charging what the market will bear. Charge too little and you'll have a shortage, charge too much and you'll have a surplus.
>>
>>30520683
USPc and the P229/M11/Legion imo are the greatest

>>30520715
>implying $750 is a lot

I would never call a Glock 19 a compact pistol. I have one and a Kahr PM9. The Kahr is a great compact pistol. The glock is huge next to it.
>>
>>30521296
Except that the Glock 19 is a compact pistol

Kahr is SUBcompact. As in, it's smaller than compact.
>>
To answer OP, you can't really go wrong with any of the popular compact 9s on the market today.

The one that is easiest for you to shoot well with is the correct choice.
>>
>>30523310

that stippling is fucking disgusting. It will be fun to scrape all the skin from the pores after a range trip
>>
I guess it's my mistake then. To me compact simply means small and easy to conceal and carry. A Glock 19 is not any of of those unless you are fat or wear a huge coat. The best compact gun is the one small enough to have on you when you need it instead of leaving it at home cause it was to fat and heavy to fit your wardrobe of the evening. My car PM9 goes on me IWB second amendment holster every morning and the Glock 19 is in the safe. When I carry owb I gave up on Glock and now carry a Canik tp9 V2 with 19 rounds in the holster they provide with the firearm in the case it came with. I find it far superior to any Glock that I own and I own 4 of them.

I like the CZ P01, feels great in the hand and conceals very well.

>>30520683

I'd agree, but my USPc is in .45 and that's how I like it.
>>
>>30523482
How delicate are your hands?
>>
>>30520683
>>30523505
My USPc is shooting low left out of the box. Am I doing something wrong?
>>
I love CZ guns. The p01 is a fantastic one. It is way to fat and heavy to be an all day everyday ccw gun unless you sit in a chair with a coat on for a job. I actually move around and do physical stuff and need a real compact iwb gun for ccw.

Check your trigger squeeze, also remember that german made pistols tell you to cover the target with your front sight, rather than lollipop it. It's odd, but when shooting for speed just focus on your front sight going over the bullseye.
>>
>>30523536

You're probably just not used to the trigger. Try sticking ur finger in ur azz while shooting a .22lr pistol immediately before shooting the USP and tell us if there is any improvement (even if temporary.
>>
>>30520669
It's not the COCK 19.

Ive never had a good experience with sigs, I really want to but I've had them break in my hands at the LGS when i went to buy one, got an HK instead.

I just put an order in for the Bersa Thunder 9 Ultra Compact Pro. I haven't seen one bad thing about it so far. And I don't think anyone could complain about the price. Anyone have any experience with it?
>>
>>30525626
I really like my thunder compact pro. The safety and slide lock take some getting used to but they are really big and easy to operate.
>>
>>30525690
I was thinking about the possibility of grinding down the left handed controls so that it doesn't stick out so much. Are there any examples where that's been done?
I'm gonna wait until I absolutely love the pistol before I decide to do this.
