What does k think about the sp2022? Looks great, and great price. The only downside I'm seeing goofy mag lip and questionable capacity for its size.

Sig has the craziest numerical names for there guns, it's hard as fuck to understand.

Does sig make a polymer version of the p239? I want something GLOCK 19 / m&pCompact size that's SA/DA with decocker. Does it exist ?
>>
>>30516727
If you can't afford the regular p22X series, get the 2022. People like to say it's a poor man's 226 and it's quite true.

Cons of it are pricey mags ~$35 each, limited aftermarket and the trigger isn't as good as the 22x series

>Does sig make a polymer version of the p239?

Unfortunately, no. I really REALLY want a more compact and size efficient P239 but I doubt Sig will ever give enough of a shit to make a solid and compact DA/SA 9mm.

Your best bet is the CZ RAMI. Subcompact DA/SA 9mm that comes in both metal frame and polymer frame and holds 10+1 iirc.

And as for naming conventions, S&W singlehandedly wins on the most complex naming convention

With the mag in its huge. It should hold 19 rounds for its size.
>>
>>30516705
Local store has a sig p239 for around 410. I was considering it as a new carry piece instead of my p320 carry due to size and comfort, but decided to pass for now. Did I fuck up? Is this a great deal?
>>
>>30517506
thats a tall order considering a fullsize 226 isnt even 19
>>
>>30516727
Stay away from first gen, second gen is great.
Second gen differs by having an external extractor, as well as some aesthetics differences such as the mag release and decocker being straighter.
Mags are expensive and they come with one mag, but other than that great gun.

GLOCK 17 is shorter (5.4) and holds 17 rounds.
They should adjust the base plate to accommodate a round instead of being a glorified pinky rest.

Technically there is an SPC2022, based off the first gen SP2022, but I've never seen one in real life.

It is hard as shit to operate when you're left handed. And near impossible release it with just the lever. Other than that it's perfect.
Also damn the 4mb image size limit, and Android. Who'd have thought resizing a image increased the file size?

Just got this baby. My absolutely favorite ccw. I previously carried, in this order: XD service, p226 mk25, xds, and finally p938. Nothing feels quite as good as the p938. It's nice and round, feels well made and I love the aesthetics of it

>>
>>30518924
did you fondle an m&p shield? how does it compare?
>>
>>30519030
I did. Very nice gun based on shape and size. What I didn't like and this is purely subjective, by all accounts shield is a great cc gun: feels kinda cheap and since I have the shekels that matters to me, and most importantly: trigger is the mushiest shit. Xds has a nicer trigger and 938 has an almost excellent trigger since its SA. 938 also feels solidly built since its all metal. In fact, when choosing between xds and shield i only got xds because of a slightly nicer trigger otherwise shield just disappears in my waist band. In winter time, however, I would always cc a full size gun

So, I know I need to go out and actually try one out to see if it's what I would want, but I'm taking my permit class this weekend and have been eyeballing the Sig P250 compact. I have yet to see anything definitive other than one anon say that he prefers the 320 because of better trigger. In general, what makes SIG more viable than others? What is your opinions of the P250? I'd it something that can satisfy the basics, such as home defense, easy CC, and shooting at the range recreationally?

I was carrying a P238 but never got used to the lack of ambi safety. Only real complaint with it and I'm sure if I was right handed it wouldn't matter. If you don't like .380 you can always try out the P938.

Good choice. I carried in my pocket for over a year but just got a n82 tactical professional cc holster, so comfy. Little hard to draw since the gun is so small but I probably just need to practice. I also have that holster for my P229 and it's great.

Would a 229 in .40 be a bad carry piece during the colder seasons? I want a sig but I cant justify having another full size 9mm. How are 220s?

I CC a P229 often 2-3 o'clock. It's noticeable if you know to look for it but I've never had anyone say anything, including my sister who freaks out just talking about guns. I cc in her house while playing with her children and she's never noticed it.

Buy P229 in .40 or .357sig, have bar-sto make threaded 9mm barrel for you. Now you have balls and a suppressor host

I just bought a P320 Carry, its my first gun and I love it. I'm new to handguns though and was wondering how far I should go into disassembly to clean after shooting. I also am unsure how much lube/CLP I need to leave on after cleaning. Anyone willing to give a novice some tips on handgun cleaning?
>>
>>30524349
Here's what you do.

Check to see that the gun is unloaded and the chamber is empty. Then check it again. Then pull the slide back and lock it. Then, open the manual that came with your gun and fucking read the chapter on how to clean it you dip.
