1. No. I ordered it through Jmeckscopemounts. He machines the mounts himself. They basically function like a glorified radiator hose clamp.
2. It's just a matter of drilling a hole. I got one that fits with a bolt & nut style rather than the screw-in type. Note: if you do want to do something like this, I recommend aligning the hole from the cleaning rod rail, up.

2)Have you forgotten to replace the piss-ass Russian barrel with something better?
3) Have you made any attempt to free-float the barrel, piss-ass or not?
4) Have you made any considerations to the poor quality of the scope mount that you're not going to be able to hold zero between shots, ever?

I sent the original bolt to a guy down in Scottsdale, Arizona to be equipped with the sniper style bent bolt. I could've just bought another bolt, but I didn't wanna fuck around with constant head-spacing issues or feeding issues.

1. Yes. It's just a fixed 6x scope with a 40mm objective lens. No, I do not.
2. The bore, despite looking kinda ugly, shoots great. With this thing in its original config, and using winchester white box 180 grain jacketed soft-point, I was getting 1.5" groups at 100 yards prone. Didn't do anything to the gun at that point.
3. Yep. I took some 120 grit sandpaper and a 1/2" socket and ran it into the high spots. I determined where those spots were through the use of the ol' dollar bill. I only sanded what was necessary.
4. A couple of my friends have these identical mounts, and as of writng this post, they claim to have no problems with theirs.

The scope was $45. I know I'm gonna get blacklash for that, but I figured I wasn't going to spend a shit ton of money on this whole project. I was practically given this gun. The Jmeck lo-profile steel mount was another $80. Bolt service was another $35 altogether, bipod was $12, and the glass bedding kit was another like $28.

This'll probs get as much hate as yours does OP, but a 45$ scope and glorified radiator clamp on a mosin? Seriously? You will never be able to hold a zero on that shit, let alone even get one in the first place, or not have the scope you know implode.
I on the other hand made a go of making the wood pretty, all the hardware is still original configurations, aside from polishing up the bolt.
