thought gun store owners were mostly nice calm people.
years later I've realized they are all bitter angry dicks
>didn't know how people could have fun shooting
Acquired gats
>realize it's fun to shoot

Not quite what you're asking, but I was an anti till I took high school US Government and realized that 2A was literally designed to be a protection for the people against not just criminals, but the government
Anyone else have an experience like this? My teacher was even a gigantic liberal who literally looked like John Green will probably look 20 years from now and somehow I still got it

More like cynical, paranoid and pretentious.

Your LGS must be shit, then.
>Buy a glocknade at LGS today.
>They let me tear open like four sealed package holsters to try them on.
>They give some cars worth 2 hours of free range time because "lol why not?"
>>30458886
Thought polymer guns were asking for an explosively mangled hand. I learned it was true, just nowhere near as often as I thought.

>give me some cards*

No it was to keep an armed trained body of men ready to defend against foreign powers such as England then seen as the tyrannical government.

As a small child in non-freedoms country:
>why do you NEED a full auto shootygun, only mil/SWAT and people who can afford a $200 dollars license should have 500 round clipazines
Today:
>SHALL
>>30458886
>before, growing up influenced by my antifunz Jewish mom: lol I don't need guns those are for rednecks, cops, and the military
>now: "shit, I need a bigger gun safe"
I grew up a fudd and always asked why anybody would need something like an AR-15 or daki
I now own both
>>30459281
Wait, $200?
For some reason I thought it was like $10,000

While I'm sure you have one I don't think that's what you meant.
>>30458886
Before
>Oh man, that's a fucking gun, those are dangerous if left unattended, it should be locked up
After
>JESUS FUCKING CHRIST, WOMAN
>THE SAFETY IS ON FOR A REASON
>pic mildly related

lol that feel. My better half gets so anxious when the guns are out despite being a great shot herself.
>>30458886
I used to think guns were pretty cool but now I think they're really cool.
>>30458886
Before I got into guns, I thought gun people were fat, stupid, angry, and generally all around assholes.
This is still mostly true. I do however enjoy my arsenal of fun

Grew up with a tacticool Glockfag dad and now appreciate milsurp/retro stuff.
First gun I ever shot.

Before I knew jackshit I though all rifles and pistols were laser beam accurate.
Then I started learning about cartrisges, ballistics and stuff and was like "I was a tard. This shit is way more indepth then I though."

Literally no. Any form of tyranny.
Read the Federalist Papers.
"ARs are jamomatics"
>Build one, clean and grease after assembly
>1000 rounds through it, no cleaning despite water, dust, and mud
Feels good to be wrong.

>thought that everyone in US loved guns

My dad shot black powder competitions and I learned to shoot on his sharps rifle. For the longest time, I thought that all guns would put up big clouds of smoke when fired.

I had a crossbow when I was a teenager, which I kept on top of my armoir in my room. She took it without me knowing one day and hid it, when I demanded it back she said she didn't feel safe with me having it because "what if it's sitting up there and it accidentally goes off"
>bitchWAT.tiff
Fast forward to now.
Visiting parents this summer and I'm in the garage getting a beer when I see it. She had stuffed it behind some boxes in a corner of the garage (which leaks when it rains), and as I pick it up, I realize that over the past 6ish years it's just been rusting, the strings were left on the limbs so now they're frayed and useless, this whole thing is fucking totaled
>I'm gonna put that bitch in a home
>>30464867
*she* being my mother. Forgive me lads, it's early.
>>30464867
....was it drawn when it was taken and stuffed in a corner?
Because that's how things accidentally themselves and just "go off"

The price of transferrable full autos can be in the tens of thousands because of limited supply, the tax stamp to own one is $200 which applies to any NFA item.

Is there a reason you don't clean it?

To see how long until I get a failure of some kind.
>revolvers are for clowns and old men
turns out magnum cartridges are god's way of balancing the scales away from a cruel world
>gun owners are 99% nazis and old men
only about 50% are nazis, only 90% are racist
>i think i'll buy a silencer
i know i won't buy a silencer
>I probably won't buy more than 2 guns
whoops
>>30465222
>i know i won't buy a silencer
?
Not really a misconception I had about guns, I was just terrified to even hold the things until I learned how to actually use them.
I used to think the majority of gun owners were Bubbas. Now I see that most gun owners are intelligent and crafty as fuck. The leftists who tout their humanities college degrees couldn't survive a day without civilization.
>>30458886
>freedom ain't free
>fuck I hope some dumbass doesn't do some dumbass shit and gets my ammo banned...fuck
such is my story of 7n6
>>30465376
like how the libruhls ask gun owners what they're so afraid of / why are you so paranoid, yet they're the ones that are apparently afraid to go outside in fear of being caught in a mass shooting
Used to think 1911's were real fuckin cool, then I realized they are real fuckin cool just not practical.
>>30465447
>like how the libruhls ask gun owners what they're so afraid of
