Turns out the whole regard of designation is much more confusing than originally thought.
For example, all Daguet jackets are F2 regardless if they have the lower pockets or not, and the F1 was more of a parade jacket and did not have provisions for a hood whilst back in the day the M64/Satin 300 jacket like in pic related was the field jacket, which had button closures and could have a hood while the F1 and F2s cannot.

As far as I know, there are no repros because there's tons of surplus ones. Once in awhile on ebay you can find ones that the previous owners removed the electronics.
If you can't find any I guess the Russian VDV helmets are OK substitutes, or the Swiss ones like I got, they all have had their electronics removed as part of the demiling process.
But you should be able to find a US seller who has one without them.

Nutria would be alright, choco chip or coffee stain would probably work too. Desert DPM has no darker colors and tropentarn has a lot of green, which could be good depending on how much vegetation there is where you are.
