My Ruger 10/22...

Only way to shoot 500 rounds for under 35 USD or 25.58 British pounds, if you live under the Queen.
>>
>>30393989
How good are these things dependability wise? Mine is brand new and it jammed right out of the box
>>
>>30393989
Why not reload? Then you can shoot practically any round for damn near the same cost. 7.5 swiss, 7mm JAP, any center fire cartridge for that matter.
>>
My jammed like crazy when I first got it... You need to upgrade the extractor.

Volquartsen Exact Edge Extractor

Amazon sells it. Trust me.. it'll fix your problems.

They work quite well. The jamming might have to do with your magazine or your ammo. I know that out of 200 rounds I might get only 3 or four jams shooting CCIs out of the 10 round mag.
>>
What model 10/22 is that op
>>
>>30394094
Standard 18.5 barrel with wood stock. I added Novak Rear sight /w integrated rail + novak front sight + amega scout mount.
>>
>>30394017
Mine HATES soft points. I can slam through copper jecket all day but the lead ones just jam the magazine
>>
>>30394017
The 10/22 fictions flawlessly with cci minimag or higher grade match ammo. Anything else is a crapshoot.

General question: what's the best Moa one can get out of a stock 1022?

I've put a new stock and serious glass on mine, but it's still shooting 1.5 inch groups at 50 yards.

I know the stock trigger is shit, but a timney drop in is like $300 here
>>
>>30394740
It's not a precision rifle.

Unless you get a timney trigger, heavy barrel and a toggle lock biathalon receiver that's about as good as you'll get
>>
>>30394040
I've had exactly 2 FTEs in the 2000 rounds I've fired out of my 10/22 .

IDK why people say it needs a new extractor so bad.

I was wondering why mine was having at least one FTE every magazine. So many stovepipes.

on the subject of 10/22s, i have a few champion magazines and theyve been very reliable for me, theyre the ones with the spring that winds up into the top. is it safe to leave them loaded or will the spring fuck up
>>
>>30395258
Leaving magazines loaded (or constant tension) will not wear out the springs in the mags.

Constant loading and unloading (aka constant compression and decompression) will, however.
>>
I recently free floated my 10/22 in the standard stock. The receiver and the first inch of barrel are free floated. Haven't gotten it out for accuracy testing yet but I'm not upset. I just took it out for my gf's first time shooting last weekend, and despite my scope not being zeroed she quickly was able to get on target, holding over about 8 moa... will get it zeroed soon.

BTW she had a blast. Wish I could say that shooting made her rip off her clothes and beg me to take her then and there but I guess I can live.

i dont reload but this sounds like bullshit.

It's about as good as a really basic blowback gun can be in a small caliber.
Keep in mind that rimfire ammunition is inherently less reliable than regular centerfire ammo, and that many brands are slightly too underloaded to always reliably cycle in an automatic.

>>30397174
It can be done.

I saw a guy on here who reloaded .300BLK for 07cpr just by scavenging .223 brass to convert and digging out lead from backstops to recast, vastly cutting costs for him, then using cheap primers and powder, and a powder coat on the bullet, pic related.
