I suggest you do A LOT of research. Living at sea is tough for a lot of people. It's not like being on the starship enterprise. There are exposed wires and pipes, some that will burn the shit out of you.

Different branches and different job's physical demands vary greatly. Every branch has harder jobs and easier more POGish jobs. Some have cushy living conditions, where as others have less than favorable and slightly more dangerous conditions.
