Are the Brits gonna get their guns back now?
>>
No, the UK has even stricter gun laws than the EU (for everything besides shotguns).
>>
No but other good things will happen. Today is an historic day, maybe it's the start for a stronger and self loving nation.

EU has to fall, a funch of globalist pricks trying to rule different people inside a continent makes no sense.
>>
>>30385807
did they officially leave the EU?
otherwise i don't have a clue what's going on.
>>
>>30385870
Yeah, the voting tally finished like 15m ago, Leave won.
>>
>>30385807
Maybe not, but they won my respect back.

Kudos Britian for growing some balls and getting out
>>
>>30385870
Leave won yeah, but there is a 2 year negotiation period. It will take a while to finalize.

Question:

Why did so many people support staying in the EU?
>>

I'm really happy the UK is leaving the EU, but I can't articulate why exactly.

Kek, they're going to have to sell their balls when their economy tanks. The pound is already in a free fall.

Because basically every economist and expert was saying that their economy would go into the shitter.

What I'm more curious about is why they wanted to leave apart from "hurr durr Britain strong"

>>
>>30386196
You're just now figuring this out? I was lucky enough to go to a very good public school. Most here do not. Public education in the US has been in the shitter for decades.
>>
>>30386292

>What does britain even export for GDP? Tonnes of Earl Grey and Breakfast Tea?

Dunno but apparently they found offshore oil in Scotland, and there's a pretty good chance of them leaving the UK now and rejoining the EU.

Is the government legally bound to observe the results of the referendum...? Or could they cop a 'made your decision, let's see you enforce it' attitude?
>>
>>30386356

>So as not to be ruled over by the EU?
That's how federations work, they got their say and everybody else got theirs. Sounds to me like you are just crying that you didn't always get your way. If anything they have increased EU power over them since they are going to have to conform to EU regulations if they want to trade with them at the same rate they were before, and now they've lost their presence in EU parliament.

>people sick of their country turning into fucking pakistan?
What does the EU have to do with that? Isn't immigration handled independently by member states? Poland and other eastern Euro countries seem to have escaped refugees for the most part. Is Britain even part of Shnengen?
>>
>>30386356
>people sick of their country turning into fucking pakistan?
That was done to them by their own government under Labour, specifically to introduce Britain to the joys of multiculturalism.

Not any time soon. I do not know what would have to happen for them to actually begins trusting citizens with guns again.
But at least they will be free from any of the future attempts from the EU to implement incredibly oppressive laws regarding firearms, speech, or anything else.
This is just the start of a very, very, long path and only time will tell what the destination is.
>>

After Ireland declares war on them

They didn't get their say though, it was the unelected politicians that got their say
>>

And now they are sick of it and want a reversal of such policies and cannot do so with the EU looming over them.

>That's how federations work, they got their say and everybody else got theirs

And everybody else fucked them over.

>Sounds to me like you are just crying that you didn't always get your way

>join a federation
>federation constantly fucks over your country

>b-but you are making good money so take it up the bum m8

>What does the EU have to do with that?
EU in collaboration with Uk lefties have been pushing for bringing in refugees and hordes of pakis to work.

Now the UK only has to focus on the lefties in their government going against their will instead of people they did not elect.

>>30386419

It's not binding. It's an "advisory" thing.

If things really start going to the wall I wouldn't be massively surprised if the EU puts together some sort of emergency concessions and the UK will backtrack on actually leaving by way of technicalities and waffle. If we get some genuine EU reform out of this it could actually be a good thing in the long run, but holy shit is this a risky way to go.
>>
>>30386515
A large part of how the EU makes its laws involves unelected shitters

The EU parliament that people actually get to vote for just decides whether to sign off on some of the laws crafted by one of the unelected bits
>>
>>30386530

Unfortunately not.

I'm a pessimist but here is the truth as I see it: The UK is more totalitarian in nature than most of Europe, we have worse gun law already. We've seen a stronger pro-gun reaction to recent ban attempts from the population of European countries than what we have ourselves, and I like European countries quite a lot although I don't think there's a chance they would be able to help with future gunlaw for the simple reason that the EU wants to move closer to what we have and further away from, say, Czech gun law.

In all likelihood the UK will continue to shit on itself because the population of leftist slaves will always vote to be fucked further up the arse. However with the EU out of the picture we will have less outside influences acting on our laws, democracy such as it is in the UK will be more direct. Our local government will have more power, our votes will count for more.

So really it represents a slight chance to better ourselves, it's the fact that we took the chance back from the EU which is set on a socialist federation of pussies. Of course we will fuck it up and continue going 1984, but at least the choice is slightly more ours now. I hold no hope for the future. I hope we can trade closer with the Anglosphere countries and other old bros though now that we'll eventually leave.

>The entirety of Scotland voted to remain what the hell is wrong with them?
I like the Jocks but they're socialist as fuck. If anything even smells of right wing, individualist, conservative party supported, non socialism then they will do whatever they can to get rid of it.
>>
>>30386572
Hopefully. If everyone continues to be retarded, it has the potential to screw up large parts of the global economy. On the other hand, if people get sensible, we'll see some improvements in how Europe operates and everything else more or less shuffling back into the usual routine with some awkward coughing and glancing around.
>>
>>30386573
>The UK is more totalitarian in nature than most of Europe, we have worse gun law already. We've seen a stronger pro-gun reaction to recent ban attempts from the population of European countries than what we have ourselves

So could Britain leaving the EU help other EU countries not implement more gun control?
>>
>>30386616

>>
>>30385844

This. Scotland will leave (and take their oil with them) and the country will go to shit.
>>
>>30385807
If Scotland leaves the UK, there's a chance.

It would be the equivalent of California leaving the US.
>>
>>30386616
Maybe. I haven't been following the exact proposer sources of the latest bullshit in the EU (that's very hard to do because the system is about as transparent and open as a KKK buttfucking orgy), but it was supported by some British politicians in the EU and by the Dutch govt. along with every other anti-gun politician they could find.

I don't think our exit will help them much, it might take away some support for bans but in the end top European politicians from other countries are pushing for it as well. We can all see which way the wind is blowing, civilians owning guns does not fit into the type of place the EU wants to make Europe. I fully expect and outright ban attempt within the next 50 years, probably sooner than that.
>>
>>30385870
They haven't officially left the EU, that will take an act of Parliament. Sometime in the coming weeks/months they will finalize it.
>>
>>30386648
Except California is a huge economy and Scotland is not that big by proportion.

We've been over this before when they had their referendum, either way good luck to them. I expect they will leave at some point, doesn't really matter to me. I don't want England to be important on the world stage, I just want our internal politics sorted even a little bit better.
>>
>>30386274

The leftists also didn't like the idea of the UK being able to enforce immigration because under the current EU rules once human trash enters the EU they can literally go anywhere unchallenged.

Britain finally got its balls back and has the authority to arbitrarily deport problematic Muslim shitskins.

the EU is literally USSR 2.0 + the Fourth Reich, it's an undemocratic socialist hellhole controlled by Germany and supported abroad by globalist shitters like Obama, built to somehow "compete" with the USA while doing everything the USA wants, such as acting as a speedbump in case Russia gets uppity again, and warehousing all those refugees that their idiotic "let's just dismantle the middle east and then walk away" foreign policy has created.

if you think it's cool to literally destroy an entire continent all for the pleasure of making tumblrinas squeal with glee, then you are probably an EU fan. if you believe in literally anything except that one narrow, self-destructive goal, you want this thing to disappear from the earth ASAP.

Not if white English people, who are still the majority in England believe it or not, have a say in it. And it will be significantly harder if we're not beholden to the EU and their open borders and refugees. Scotland is another story but they aren't beset with the same problems and they're naturally more lefist.

Hell even in when in the EU people brought enough pressure on our government to keep the number of Syrian refugees to the lowest level that faggot Cameron would concede. And look how much it pissed of Germany.

Either way, the country is so overcrowded that it will never be good again. It's all over.

Do you even into investing?

Everyone fucking bet on the UK staying. They bum rushed a bunch of extra investments over the last while, and that resulted in growth.

Then something major (Brexit vote) occurred, everyone flipped out because what they had been gambling on did not happen the way that they expected things to go, so they began to panic sell. Which shows everything plummeting.

This is how that shit works. It will bounce back soon enough once people realize that the sky is not in fact falling.

Also you still need Scotland and Northern Ireland to hold referendums to leave before you should be concerned about a recession. And leaving the UK is bad for both Scotland and N. Ireland, they have economic interests in remaining in the UK outside of EU membership. They may elect to leave the UK eventually in favor of the EU, but EU membership takes a while to earn, so they'll be getting shit on for years before their memberships are approved. I doubt that they'll suddenly risk leaving the UK over this.

The global economy ebbs and flows, we have bear and bull markets, things always bounce back eventually. Calm down.

Far as I know, they neutered themselves on that one. The EU had little to do with bin-that-knifeistan.

So basically academics and university students want the cash cow welfare state bullshit and older people who have probably worked 40 years want out?

And before you start formal education is fucking worthless at everything except advancing your standing and employability in the system that created it and propagated it. It's just piece of paper. How many university students are worthless retards with an loldegree in liberal arts and have never picked up books or sought experience in learning about a subject for themselves. I love how the left is trying to paint this as a vote for old racists, poor people and idiots while portraying themselves and the remain campaign as intelligent, successful and in possession of the moral high ground. Typical Londoners.

Of course the younger generation are going to be the kind that want the EU welfare states to exist, they want tax payers to pay for their university, housing and training costs. Everyone I know who pays tax wants out and the ability to cast a vote that's final and that counts, not to lose their democratic power in the bowls of the tangled globalist colossus that is the EU.

In Scotland it's traditional to murder people with a sharp car bumper. Guns are a coward's weapon, the weapons of Englishmen.
>>
Has anyone given thought to the fact that the UK's nuclear submarine base is in Scotland? If/when Scotland leaves, one of the most powerful nuclear nations in the world will effectively have to disarm.

Militarily, NATO just received a huge crack in its armor.
>>
>>30388010
Because they totally couldn't lease the old base or build a new one.
>>
>>30388015
Or just come to a joint defence agreement since Scotland will have Republic of Ireland tier defence options without the rest of the UK, or even, and I'm not trying to incite Scots or sound snobby, England.

There are options. But nothing has even happened yet, people are already acting like it will be in independent country tomorrow.

During the last referendum, Scotland declared that if they became independent, it would be "unconscionable" for them to have England's WMDs in their nation.

And with the English economy in freefall, I'd wager they'll have more pressing financial concerns than renting a base for subs that likely won't even be able to afford to operate.

>>30388031

I didn't say they were leaving, I said they might lose their nuclear capability (or the capacity to maintain it) which weakens the alliance as a whole.

Agreed. The knowledge to build sub bases was lost many centuries ago, we can't replace them now.

>with the English economy in freefall

lel. FTSE isn't even in a bad state.
>>
>>30388031
But Scotland can refuse to have nuclear weapons on their territory. Italy made a big deal out of it with the US ones, remember?

>>30388045
It appears the "degree educated" persons are more intelligent when it comes to Brexit, since there isn't a single good reason to leave the EU, just a bunch of lies those idiots believed in. Farage already stepped back on the "350 million to the NHS" bullshit because he wasn't expecting so many retards to believe it, this is going to be fun.

The truth is that the UK always had it good when it came to EU, they were out of the Euro and only got benefits from their membership. Juncker already said to "kick them off quickly" - UK will sink alone, and it won't be UK anymore as surely at least Scotland will jump ship, after this.

I can understand people flipping their shit about economic uncertainly but I think it will level out. There's ridiculous amounts of doom and gloom because people are feeding off eachother's overreactions.

Anyway it wasn't feasible for the UK to stay in Europe, we were running out of space for people to live to say nothing of the infrastructure buckling under the strain it was never designed to take. All this when they're about to let Turkey in and over 12 million Turks wanting to settle in the UK, and the EU ready to share a land border with Syria.

Hopefully we can put mutually beneficial trade with Anglosphere and Commonwealth countries as a top priority, it's a popular move with the people that wanted to leave. Our time as a world power is long over, I'm fine with the UK, or maybe just England if others choose to leave, retiring back onto its porch chair with its own sovereignty. Other countries may hate us for abandoning their globalist project but so be it, no ill will to them unless they're malicious for it in their future dealing with us.
