Shape it like a cartoon bomb, put a huge fuse on it, have it run at the enemy.
Clearing rooms in front of fire teams for traps and hostiles. Targeting software that highlights enemies in infantry visor HUDs. High-precision or capacity weapon that can intercept grenades/rpgs.
To name a few ideas.

If it's that mech dog, then I'd use it to haul cargo (maybe a GPMG), tow shit and MEDEVAC.
Assuming you don't have a vehicle, riding it is way better for long distances.
