Rheinmetall made a new IFV for the export market, primarily for Australia's M113 replacement.

Looks nice but what about Puma?
They haven't replaced all those Marders with Pumas and they already designed new IFV?

Too expensive for Aussies

Lynx is "Marder Evolution" with a Lance turret

The new IFV "lynx" is designed for the Australian market to replace the ageing m113as4's.

It should be pointed out that this is just a contender for phase 2 of Land400. Phase 1 is the replacement of the aslav25

From a pure aesthetic point of view, I don't like it. The turret clashes with the smooth lines of the hull.

From a military point of view though, I personally hate the move to a reduced squad size and requiring multiple vehicles to transport the same amount of men. The 30mm is nice, as is the turret as it can take either a 30 or 35mm cannon and an ATGM as standard is always a plus. It appears to be the ultimate expression of cold war western mechanized infantry doctrine.

Comes in two versions, KF 38 and KF 48.

38 takes six in the back, 48 has eight.

Just buy Cv90's
