My current site is a med dispensary out in the sticks. Unfortunately its still just 1 guy per shift out here so I have to just stay as prepared and alert as I can. I park the car blocking the back door with clear fields of view 180 degrees and two hard points nearby. Luckily the sherrif and PD are a min away and they swing by to check on me a few times a night.
There's floodlights surrounding me so I'm not too worried here about nearing a light for now.

There has actually been a lot more robberies and burglaries this season, a few a month since February, they rarely get reported on the news though. Even the other day our guys doing transport had a tail vehicle and had to literally pull into a PD parking lot before they broke off and sped away.

Oh believe me I've tried but unfortunately there is a decent turn around with guys for various reasons and right now we are spread thin. Most of the grows have 3-4 guys per shift so dispensaries are stuck with 1 for now. Its great for my hours and OT but shitty that you are completely on your own if shit goes down. Luckily I network as much as I can and keep the dispatch for the sheriff and PD on speed dial of need be. And if I need to I just piss behind the car and if a mudslide rolls in I hustle to the hotel next door and back quickly.

Ah, yah I could see how that could get boring after a bit. No I was an 88M, I'd say probably 60% of the guys at the firm had combat arms jobs though. Plus the firm only takes guys with 12 months min oconus time and most if not all of us have combat experience. There are also a few ex leos and civ contractors. Yah all our clients give us discounts and some of the grow clients just literally hand out gallon zip lock bags of trimmed flower at the end of the season to the grow guys as a thanks. I personally don't use thc or cbd though since I'm starting a Leo academy in August

Different firms have different requirements. Most of the big firms only take mil and Leo guys, there of course a few that take any Joe smo but they pay a lot less and don't have the best rep or clients. The firm I work for is arguably the best in state and the hours and pay work out nicely for me, no where near what I was making when I did contracting for Aerotek but the wife was adiment I not be overseas now that we have a daughter. Pay varies with clients but the gist is $18hr dispensaries, $21-28hr grows, $21 transport, or some guys have strait salary. Oconus work and psd vary a lot in pay but its usually only the ex-group/team guys that get those contracts.
My 70 hour week begins tonight.

So far I have been pretty lucky with having the tougher regulars coming around when things got troublesome.
Worst part is the choice of radio channel, I can't change it, and it plays the same few popular songs over and over again, when songs about popping pills in Ibiza comes up for the fifth time while you're juggling a billion pastries, and some guy is explaining how he's the future president of Greenland, you get really fucking tired of Mike Posner.

Eh, I can get away with a lot of shit that I don't do, mostly because of the fucked up schedule I work. I work a mixed shift between nights and days. No one else wants to do it and the contractor has had me for years now and doesn't feel like training someone new. I do my rounds once an hour and spend the rest of the night either reading, playing on the internet, playing vidjya, or painting minis. I love it but the hours I work would probably drive off most potential employees.
