As you know, California has some of the most strict gun restrictions in the US. Namely,
>no clips larger than 10
>no concealed or open carry (de facto)
>no automatic weapons
>etc.
What's the best home defense handgun for someone under california restrictions? I'm thinking it should be compact and chambered in .45 ACP to get your money's worth considering the magazine restrictions. Extrapolate your onions.
>>
>>30352674
forgot link to california gun restrictions https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun_laws_in_California
>>
I'm pretty sure NY and Hawaii are more restrictive. It's almost impossible to (legally) own a gun in NYC.
>>
>>30352682
you're right, but I never made the claim that California was the MOST restrictive of ALL the states.
>>
The based countries will give you your CCW no problem. Think Tulare/Fresno county.

As for an HD gun I don't see any reason for a compact since it's not like you're going to be carrying it around on your belt.
Plus if you want a .45 I don't know of any compacts that will give you a full 10 round (shut up, 10 rounds is full in Cali) capacity.
Plus the whole larger muzzle flash, louder, follow up shots, blah blahblah 9vs45 nonsense
>>
>>30352682
Impossible to cc a gun in nyc but outside the 5 boros you can cc. Also you can own guns in nyc but ARs need to be SAFE compliant
>>
>>30352744
damn, that's a good idea. i didnt know fresno gave em out easier.

>>
>>30352744
>>30352777

you have to be a resident I think for the fresno CCW. I'm in San Diego county, I wonder how often they give em out here.
>>
>>30352804
I know Tulare has residency requirements and I think Fresno does too. But it's worth it to be able to write "self defense" when they ask you for a good cause and get it accepted.
Took me 3 months start to finish to get mine in Tulare. Still sucks compared to the free states, but it's Godly when compared to the rest of California
>>
>>30352674
get a .50 deagle. its not compact, but the knockdown power is worth it, its still semi-auto and i think the standard clip size is seven, well within the regs.
>>
>>30352674

I'm just going the no paperwork route, BP muzzle loaders galore
>>

Just roll like pic related so you never have to worry about reloading
>>
Is it even a good idea to try to get a gun in California now that they have a long gun registry?
>>
>>30352674
Australia has the same rules.
Does it work for you guys?
Can the lib fags stop saying that Australia's Gunlaws would be effective over there?
i shit you not i can get a list of those Exact laws and post them.
>>
>>30352926
>does it work
of course it doesn't. you can get anything over in mexico. Not to mention there are already too many guns in circulation here that even with bans they still float around.
>>
>>30352936
Thanks.
Well we can now say Libs are Shitting on about nothing. and it is True that Australia's Gun laws are ineffective in the states.
I feel some sense of satisfaction.
>>
>>30352917
If you don't buy a gun for that reason you're letting them win. If you're concerned about the registry, do an 80% AR build or buy use the gun show loophole in AZ. As long as you're 18 since the beginning of this year it's entirely believable that you got your rifle pre long gun registry.
>>
>>30352674
Get a gun, open carry and get arrested for it, take it to court and go to supreme court levels to get mandatory shall issue for open carry deemed constitutional and forced nationwide.
CA BTFO.
Then I might be able to consider ever moving back to my home in SD

>>

Well depends, you can get a CCW in San Bernardino county...

If you are looking for a CC consider a CZ Rami 2075 in 9mm or if you can acccept .380 a bersa thunder.

For full size a CZ 97B is a double stack 10 round standard flush fit mag pistol, I own two of them, I like them so much, however the grip is a bit large for small hands, but replacing the wood grips with the thin Aluminums make it easier to hold.

I know people shit on .40 S&W but the CZ 75 in .40 is one of the better shooting .40's I've shot.

Gen 3 Glocks of any size and caliber is like, the defacto gun for most Californians, but you know, with lower cap magazines which hurts your moral, but the gun performs just as well.

Khar make glock clones that some people like. Springfield XD's are often sale.

Ruger revolvers are tanks in any size from SP 101 small frames GP 100 medium frames or Redhawks which are large frame.

it's a diverse place. i'm from riverside county and most people are socially conservative, pro gun, etc. things just get drowned out by LA country and San Francisco. It really should be divided.

Granted I did meet plenty of people from those two counties at Uni and they are all die hard hillary clinton types who weigh 90 lbs at 6'2"
>>
>>30353050
This. Don't be scared of buying a gun or they win.

Besides, unless you live totally off the grid burning your social or assuming a false identity or live in a cave in the forest, the government can track you down with other means .

I've lived in Ventura most of my life, with the exception of when I moved up to Bakersfield and Visalia for work for a couple years. But despite the diversity in the state, even in the particularly conservative parts of Cali, it seems the majority of the population is just apathetic at best, socialist at worst
>>
>>30353089
>>30353161
I'm surprised a relatively wealthy individual/organization hasn't offered a homeless guy a place to crash and a never ending supply of petty cash for beer and oxycodone in exchange for doing just that.

seems like Ted Nugent, john mcafee, clint eastwood, or our godemperor trump would be willing to throw cash at a few dozen cases flooding the district courts with 2nd amendment appeals if only to piss in the liberals cornflakes; freeing whole quadrants of the USA from communist laws would just be icing on the cake.
>>
>>30353209
maybe up there. san diego county and riverside county are fairly conservative. people wear cowboy hats and listen to country music and vote republican. we also had an incident in my hometown Murrieta where people protested against taking a bunch of nicaraguan refugee kids.
>>
>>30353231
I met John Mcafee at a fund raiser a few months ago. He was just hitting on some los angelos cuties the whole time and playing piano. Seemed pretty apathetic to the whole thing even though he ran under the libertarian ticket.

not if you pay off the admin guys in the NYPD like that one chosen did.

Also even in the most anti gun states there is always an exception for diamond "merchants"

Don't get me wrong, there's a bunch of cowboy hat wearing, country listening, faux rednecks with honest to god fake southern accents in bako, but they still just didn't seem to care much about overreaching govt. At least it sounds like there's hope down south. Feinstein has to get booted out one of these days. Cheers comrade

Hello fellow 805er were getting some new area codes soon.

What arae your places to shop at fellow 805er for funs? You try to get a ccw yet? year and a half wait and being a student kind of has prevented me from trying. Feel like being a student they would deny me.
>>
>>30353089
Already did that, the courts ruled that CA can't ban both open and concealed carry. Since technically you can CC, it's not unconstitutional.

BTW, they had banned open carry since Regan was Governor and recently unloaded open carry was banned because people were exercising that right and it was scarring the antis.
>>
>>30353319
The Turners that opened in Oxnard is probably the overall best. Expect them to treat you like a shithead who has no clue what you're doing everytime you go in to look at something. Though with all the muzzle sweeps I've seen in there, I get it.
There's also a pretty good little shop on a 101 frontage road in Camarillo. I don't remember it's exact name but it's sign just says "GUNS" in big red letters. Good place to find hard to get stuff like reloading supplies
>>
>>30353400
Occasionally the Dicks sporting goods in Oxnard has good deals on shotguns too, forgot that. Usually during the holiday season, check around Xmas.
Avoid Blue Line and Island View as much as possible, they have really nice stuff, but their prices are absolute dogshit. You could probably buy a miata and drop an LS1 into it for the price of a nice battle rifle there

Not on the CA handgun roster. I believe you can still get the .44mag and .357mag deagles and buy the .50ae barrel. Totally legal to convert after purchase.

A nice revolver is a good choice.

GP100, and it's a hell of a lot ncier to shoot at the range than most semi-autos.

I'm not worried about government tracking. I'm worried that the database gets leaked and I become a target for robbery or harassment.

We all know that gun owners aren't exactly "liked" in California.
>>
>>30353507

Autistically paranoid as fuck/10

Try leaving the house more
>>
>>30353359
and then the en banc review determined that they can continue to restrict concealed. They completely ignored the supreme court's precedent definition of "bear" and fucked us. Welcome to California.
>>
>>30353502
how expensive is revolver ammo over 9mm?
>>
>>30352682
New York has a big rural state attached to the city and a ton of other relatively freer states to escape too within a couple hours if hiding in NYS wasn't your thing.

Its so easy for folks to get noncompliance stuff, I mean they just caught a couple neonazi brothers in a drug related warrant who literally stockpiled loads of high caps and noncucked ARs in long island who were visited by police dozens of times for disturbances.

Man I really hope god emperor Trump nukes New York's gay gun laws (and by extension the rest of the liberal gun grabber northeastern seaboard.
>>
>>30353520
.38 special is marginally more expensive than cheap 9mm but can be had at nearly the same price if you look right.
>>
>>30353511
Too bad what I described already happened with the whole database leakage and all.
>>
>>30353598
IIRC it wasn't a leak, it was NYC giving a big fuck you and making it a matter of public record.
>>
>>30353598
well, you could always use the gun to shoot anyone who harasses you if worse comes to worse.
>>
>>30353630
It's a leak to me since it's data that shouldn't be released getting released.

Anyways, what's to say California wouldn't do the same?
>>
>>30353598

You don't need a permit and these kinds of things (registration) aren't going to be leaked by the fucking DOJ of all people

It's not even close

no one is going to find out except the government that is what you should worry about you imbecile

You really trust an anti-gun administration not to comply with the FOIA request of some anti-gun activist zealot?

I mean yeah it's illegal and you can sue, but once the data is out there, it's out there forever whether or not you win the lawsuit. They could remove access to the most reachable copies of the dataset, but somewhere out there the dataset could still be downloaded, kind of how the government shutting down Pirate Bay won't completely stop internet piracy.
