Only own a henry .22, but i've spent 2 weeks straight camping in texas and new mexico so I feel as if I could earn my spurs easily. Also became a deadeye with a red rider on that trip (couldnt bring henry for reasons)

Bought myself a Rossi R92 in .357magnum last winter. I've only taken it for a spin once, and it ended up being a painful experience due to the unrefined edges of the loading gate. I've since filed it down, I just need a fresh ammo shipment before I take it back to the range.

To add on, I was sort of born into part of it and happened into the rest by others' will.
My grandfather and most of his side of the family ran cattle, albe it separately. When I was five and my great grandmother died, they chose to give her stock to me. My grandfather (raised me by and large) combined our herds and made a good run of it for 14 years.
Then on the other side of life, my mama married a bastard of a man, but a productive bastard who wanted a son. Livestock, crops, land, building. He was always off chasing the next big thing and I was the foreman of our spread.
Good times, I guess. I done it freelance some over the years. Something you never forget and can always fall back on.

Did that for a while, being understaffed sucked dick, but I was doing it free for the experience anyway. Always liked work and I sure miss the horses.
