Every time I drink I slip a round into my revolver give it a spin then lock it and point it at something, could be my TV, window anything at all. I usually pull the trigger once or twice but last night was three times and no round went off, surely with the 3rd trigger pull I would have had a 33% chance of wrecking something I own but it never happens, why?

Probably because your dad took out the striker pin due to you failing 6th grade math and dropping out.
>6 chances
>33% chance to fire on 3rd pull
>>
op is retarded
>>
>>30347677
>3 chambers remaining out of 6
>one has something in it
>of the remaining 3 chambers, one of which has something in it, there is a 33 percent chance (1/3) that the gun will go off

And you say OP fails math
>>
>>30347677
>>30347698

On 3rd pull there are three chambers left unfired, hence a 1:3 or 33% chance of one firing.
>>
>>30347718
Thats not the actual odds though, as the round is more likely to land in the 3rd position due to gravity.
>>
>>30347638
assuming you don't respin the chamber every time:

first pull- 1/6 chance, or 16.66~%
second- 1/5, 20%
third- 1/4, 25%
fourth- 1/3, 33.33~%
fifth- 1/2, 50%
sixth- 1/1, 100%
>>
>>30347741
Are you guys fucking serious?
Chance of firing with:
1 trigger pull = 16.6%
2 trigger pulls = 33.3%
3 trigger pulls (half of 6) = 50%
...
6 trigger pulls =100%

Not one of the previous guys, but if it's a properly taken care of revolver, gravity will literally make sure the round is on the bottom, so odds are the third or fourth shot will kill you. Now if it's not properly taken care of, or if gravity decides to stop working then those statistics are correct
>>
>surely with the 3rd trigger pull I would have had a 33% chance of wrecking something I own but it never happens, why?
Because you don't own any guns.
>>
>>30347961
No, stupid.>>30347849
This guy has it right.

I fucking hate math why am i such a retard

You didn't pay attention very well in math.

You people don't know how to play russian roulette. You close the cylinder as its still spinning so that it hasn't had time to settle anywhere.
>>
>>30348117
this
>>
>>30347961
That's odds for trigger pulls altogether, not individually.
>>30347849
This dude is technically also correct.

Thats not what he stated, cunt.

Since this is a QTDDTOT thread now, can you guys help me out with a Carcano issue I'm having?

Whenever I try to feed a new round, the bolt will stop about half an inch away from the action and then you have to give it a little push in. Then, at the last round, it will stick straight up in the air or at least at a high .45 degree angle. Does anyone know the solution to this?
>>
>>30347849
This is correct.

The third trigger pull is 25% chance.

1st pull of the trigger is 1/6, assuming each chamber has an equal chance of holding the round.

2nd pull, 1/5

3rd pull, 1/4 or 25%

Next time put in 6 and aim at your head.

Uhh no. Stats grads are sought after in investing, finance, insurance and the hard and social science research institutes. They also are sometimes banned from casinos.
