What's your favorite barrel length for revolvers?

2 inches
>>
>>30329285

21"
>>
3-4

or 2.5 i wish for a ccw
>>
>>30329285

I have a 4" GP100, a 4" S&W Model 27, 6" GP100, a 4" S&W 686 (not plus) and a 2" Model 60.

Also my dad's old Model 36 with a 1.75" barrel or something. It's short.

4" is my fav.

4". Good balance.
>>
4 inches, just like my penor
>>
>>30329285
6 inches

Just like my erect donger.
>>
>>30329285
6"

What I'm getting is a gun I'm slower with than a pistol, so I might as well be more accurate.
>>
5 inch is objectively best for balance and aesthetics. It also decent for taming muzzle blast, which is a bit much in a 4 inch and fucking retarded in a 2 inch.
>>
>>30329285
wouldn't you want at least 4 inches at minimum for a revolver

you need a longer barrel for better accuracy and muzzle velocity

>muh snubs

just get a semi-auto for conceal carry, .357 is pointless in a snub
>>
>>30331336
Not every revolver is a .454 so no

>you need a longer barrel for better accuracy and muzzle velocity
Muzzle velocity yes, which only really effects trajectory at long range which is sorta moot with handguns, the mechanical accuracy with be fine.
>>
6 inches or more
I think more than 8 inches is retarded
Id probably also attach an rmr on it
Maybe a light of i can
More revolvers should be railed

4" and 6"
>>
4"-6". I already have an 18" Marlin if I want to shoot revolver rounds out of a super long barrel.
>>
I like 6" because I like to plink at long ranges with .357.

But my D frame is a snub nose .38, and I like that a lot too.

So I guess my favorite barrel length is determined by how I'm using it.

.357 is most efficient in 6".
>>
>>30331336
Depends, .357 you would want at least 3" for Magnum loads to matter what so ever, at 2", Magnum really doesn't give you an appreciable difference in velocity, 2" barrels is for Specials.

Can't speak for .44, .454, .475, .500, etc, but I would want at least 6" of barrels for massive Magnums like that, because a .480 Ruger snub would be unpleasant to say the least.

4" or under, anything over that is usually not necessary unless you are hunting.

Connecticut reporting in; minimum handgun allowed for deer hunting is 6" .357 Magnum.
