Is this this most prolific bolt action ever made?
>just got this today
>>30308952
Yeah, it's pretty prolific and common, at least from a military bolt gun perspective.
>>30308969
I used to smoke pot too.
>>30308952
ITS NOT A SPANDAU! It was never called a Spandau! It's not a Spandau!
>>30308969
It's the basis for the Remington 700 as well.
It's the most prolific, most copied gun of all time.
Mauser family production numbers make the AK family look like a bitch.
>>30309007
No.
>>30309143
Uh, yeah?
With 100,000,000 98 systems alone.... yeah...
>>30309143
"But I'm a child who gained all of my gun knowledge from video games and movies, so the AK is obviously the most produced."
>>30309271
Has everyone forgotten the AK? Really?
>>30309313
I bet you're not even handsome.
>>30309318
More like children overlook the mauser.
Only the Russian AK-47 design comes anywhere close to the production figures of the Mauser, and it’s probably not that close.
Also if we factor in foreign copies, clones, and variants, then the number is probably 150 million or more guns.
>>30309338
Is that only 98 actions?
>>30309437
Mauser never made another action.
>>30309722
Yes they did. Please do not spread incorrect information.
>>30309722
Aside from the actions like 71, 88, 93, 96, etc.
Mauser made a fairly large number of different action designs.
Most modern sporting rifles don't even trace their lineage to the 98 but instead to the earlier 93/96 action desing.
>>30309777
>cock on close
Disgusting
>>30309722
wut?
i suppose the models 1889/1891, the small ring actions (the 1893/94/95/96), and prototype actions like the 1918 as well as the commercial intermediate 1924 action made by and licensed by fn never existed?
>>30309816
works good on my enfield :7)
>>30309947
It works but it isn't as user friendly as cock in open.
>>30309777
>Mauser 88
You mean 89. The Gew 88 had some Mauser inspired influences, but Mauser was excluded from the commission.
>>30310195
Literally nothing matters after the 98. It was the pinnacle
>>30310483
Ok man, if you say so.
>>30308952
Is that what Austria hungray used?
>>30311228
No. The Austrians used straight pull Mannlicher (some were modified to turn bolts later).
>>30308952
98 action a shit
>>30311258
>some were modified to turn bolts later
wat
>>30313586
Isn't that, basically, what the 35m is?
>>30308978
are you trying to heavy metal poison yourselve ¿?
