Well I'm trying here my thoughts are I either get a cap ton of cool milsurp or one bad as semi auto rifle. I like fals aks and anything not an ar. I feel the need to get one before the end of this year though cause of potential scares

ARs are nice but I love history. I own a 10/22 passed down from my late grand father. Either lots of surplus or one nice semi auto rifle. With the current political climate the semi auto rifle feels imperative to acquire.

CC - Get a glock in .40 s&w - usually $50-100 cheaper than the correlating 9mm model, and ammo is close to the same price, especially online.

HD - Mossberg 500, 590, 590a1, or a maverick 88. All good, the 88 is by far the cheapest, and the 590a1 the most expensive. All good choices for home defense. Optional 18in barrel for hmedefense, there are some mossberg 500 models that can have interchangeable barrels for HD and hunting

Hunting - olders Remington 700 rifles are tops, newer ones are meh. Take a look at Tikka's.

Fun - Mosins aren't cheap anymore, dont bother. Mosin threads are either made by people who bought them when they were $100 or just got gypped by someone on gunbroker.

AR - either get 2-3 of the guns above, or build an AR

AK - Get 1-2 of the above and a shitty wasr-10 AK. Or get 1 of the above and a nice AK.

How about like babbys first operator set up (no ARs). I've always hated direct impingement short of the vz 58. So essentially just one really nice semi auto rifle . Qualitys I really like are durability and things that have that last a life time feel
