>SAKO INTRODUCES A NEW LIGHT WEAPON SYSTEM – TIKKA T3X TAC A1
>Sako brings to market a special development for law enforcement sniper application. Light sniper rifle Tikka T3X TAC A1 is believed to become a new benchmark in the weapon industry. It is developed to meet the rapidly changing operational requirements of military and law enforcement community.
>Sako developed the first model of Tikka T3 Tactical rifle series for French Police and Gendarmerie already back in 2004. Since then this light sniper weapon system has been adopted by several military and law enforcement units around the world.
>Tikka T3X TAC A1 is based on Sako´s famous Tikka T3 bolt action construction, but made to meet the new increasingly challenging requirements of long range tactical shooting. The must-haves of the new weapon were developed based on the comprehensive field tests and the feedback received from relevant operators with different background. As a result the new rifle is at the same time ideally multifunctional, though light in weight, compact and rugged.
>Tikka T3X TAC A1 is fully modular and therefore fulfills all operational requirements. The aluminum chassis stock system is compatible with most common type AR fore-ends, pistol grips and rear stocks. It offers a foldable rear stock with quick adjustable cheek piece and adjustable length of pull. The muzzle is threaded for attaching muzzle brakes and / or suppressors.
>Compatibility of the chassis stock system with all old Tikka T3 Tactical rifles enables to upgrade the old sniper systems to the level required today.
It's not officially announced yet.
BUT WAIT! There's more!
I found this Arctic model posted on a couple of Nordic webstores. It's the civilian version of the Canadian Rangers' rifle. Also not announced yet. The price is listed as 2290€, which is quite a lot for a Tikka.

This is making me moist. I've been waiting for this forever.
>>30296532
This is basically the same rifle as the Ruger Precision Rifle, so why didn't you buy that?
>>30296379
That price is absolutely ridiculous. You'd have to really like orange to pay what, double the price of a CTR for a laminate stock and irons
>>30296607
Nothing wrong with Ruger but Tikka is a notch above for quality and accuracy
>>30296379
> drum sight
> hooded front sight
Sure why not
>>30296754
Some collector could see some added value in it but it is indeed quite pricey. One thing that could explain the high price is that the rifles were actually made by Colt Canada but that's just wild speculation.

Two more pics.

Because a Tikka is made well
>>30296370
Samson rails on both this and the RPR. Someone over there has been working overtime.
>>30296984
What's the quality like on Rugers? Only Ruger I've encountered here was a MK3 like ten years ago and that was in a gun store, so I haven't shot one ever.
>>30297013
Rugers are fine, Tikka is a more refined product.
>>30296973
A few more.

And some additional info from an Armietiro:
>Tikka submit to the Villepinte hall the new version "light sniper weapon" of the famous bolt action T3: thought for the sector Law enforcement is in .308 Winchester / 7,62x51 and modular aluminum chassis. The skeletonized football is adjustable and folding, but in addition to the proprietary version, can be fitted with any other butt Ar 15 compatible. Same goes for the front rod and the handle: both replaceable with common accessories for Black rifle.
>At the moment are two versions available: one with a 16-inch barrel and a 20-inch barrel of the weight respectively of 4,950 grams and 5,100 grams; the detachable wired charger has capacity of 10 shots, shooting is single stage with adjustable weight snap between 1,000 and 2,000 grams. The more compact version with 16-inch barrel measuring 645 mm with folded football, while the version with 20-inch barrel, size of 1011 mm with an open football. The accuracy of the weapon according to the company, is less than the Moa with employment of munitions Match. (Claudio Bigatti)
I think Google did great job at capturing the Italina mindset on this one.

Picture unrelated.

I don't bother making another thread but there's another similar rifle coming from another Finnish company:
http://lynxrifles.fi/wp-content/uploads/Lynx-Presence-15.pdf
Price will probably be astronomical though.
>>30296379
Damn the sporter sure is beautiful tho
>>30299096
It sure is but I wish there were other colours too.
>>30299049
Are you saying a Tikka is similiar to a Lynx rifle?
>>30296379
man i love laminated stocks, they look fucking epic
>>30299953
Yes and no. The concept here is similar but obviously the Lynx is a much higher end product.
>>30299960
Indeed.
Bump before sleep.
arr rook same
Semi-automatic Rk 95 Tp when?
>>30301968
It's a good concept?
>>30302673
It has already been done. Google Sako M92S.
One more bump.
>>30296370
Ive always wondered why did the RPR and now TIKA/SAKO tac A1 dont use AIC magazines and magwells from the start?
>>30307417
Why would Sako use the magazines of its main rival in sniper rifles?
>>30307463
Open it up for more people to get into I guess? I mean I understand from a business stand point why but I just hate having to buy new bottom metal when ever I get a new bolt action.
>>30307496
From Sako's point of view AI is just another manufacturer with just another magazine type and I think a lot of militaries & LE share this view. They don't care, what you already own, because the potential buyer will also buy the magazines anyway. I understand that AI magazines are way more common and a lot cheaper but they aren't standard by any means. And like you said, it doesn't make a lot of sense from a business point of view.
How do non-Finns pronounce Tikka?
Thread mascot:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tikka_Khan
>>30307636
English speakers usually pronounce it "Tikah" from what I've heard. Sako is "Seikouh" and Valmet is "Valmei".
>>30307710
Can't we just use a woodpecker?
>>30307725
finn-mongol rifles - a guy literally named khan
Too fitting, birdboy
>>30307740
Why not use an actual Mongolian Khan then?
>>30307754
Coz his first name is the same as the company, as you can see clearly.
but you know what, I'll meet you half way
>>30307785
I accept this compromise.
>>30297642
>the skeletonized football is adjustable and folding
>>30296370
Can it us AR mags?
>>30307877
It uses TRG 22 type magazines.
>>30297642
Read the whole thing in a heavy finish accent in my head. Wonderful.
Stock sold separately? Would love that if I could put my existing tikka in it.
>>30308008
You should've used Italian accent.
>>30308015
I think that's what the last sentence implies.
PDF online, although no new info.

Into the trash it goes.

I am buzzed enough to think you typed Samsung and wonder what your issue is with those SSDs.
>>30314284
I think the idea is that you'll change the parts to ones you like.
Btw, is the stock Tikka's own design or third party like the handguard? I don't recognize it.
fuck off finland
