I'm getting my concealed carry as soon as I turn 21 next week.
What gun should I go out and buy to celebrate the occasion. I'm thinking either an HK USP compact or a Beretta 92 compact. I've always liked target practice with a friend's 92, but now I think I want my own. But the HK is also really fucking nice.
What do you guys prefer to carry? Post favorite carry pistol.
My only thing is a Shield but take a look at the PX4 and the P2000 SK.

P239 maybe? Not well versed in CZ's but they have some nice stuff. Do you think you can conceal a full size? There's a lot of options for that compared to compacts and subcompacts.

It's an incredibly good shooter with an SRT kit, tried one out a few months back.
While it's a bit to big for what it is (8+1 9mm that weighs ~30oz) I'm considering on getting one later on despite the cons.
There's also the CZ Rami. By any chance are you more partial to DA/SA or something striker fired? I'm recommending DA/SA for the moment but I can suggest strikers.

If you're gonna get the USPC get the flush floorplates, or go with the p2k, it fits a bit better for CC.
I'm 5'9 and only 125 and it conceals alright 4-5 ish , but you start loosing draw time any farther.
Appendix carry is a no go imo for the USPC, and you can get away with front pocket carry if you're into baggy clothing.

Absolutely not a fan of strikers, though the glock is undeniable a great weapon. I love that feel of pulling a hammer back. I have a Sig P236 but it's much too big to be lugging around all day.

I'm 5'10 and used to be like 200, but I've gotten down to around 170 recently and I'm wearing tighter clothes because of it. Planning on getting thinner for the remainder of the summer, so I'm thinking you may be right. I usually appendix carry a 92fs when I meet with any dealers, but it's bulky and obvious. If what you're saying is true, then I may just want to get a shoulder holster for the HK if I go in to get it.

The biggest advantage of CC is being able to choose when to get involved in a situation, if at all.

Those are too much for a carry gun. Unless it's issued to you, carry a cheap piece of shit. You want your carry gun to be a gun you'll be OK with never seeing again or returned to you mishandled if you have to use it.

I like it a lot. Light and slim. If Walther didn't fuck up and charge a shit ton when they first came out I think they'd be a lot more common.

Alright, so going by this, I'm probably looking for something like a Sig P230. It's pretty enough for me to enjoy carrying around, but it's not something I'll cry over losing.
