Hypothetically how many troop and what kind of weaponry would be sent in if a group of /k/ommandos acquired some land together and attempted to secede from the union and form their own independent country?
>>
All.
>>
>>30291488
Initially, the local law enforcement, then the National Guard, then drone strikes, then a full scale ground invasion by as much of the US Army as is needed to put down the uprising.

There really isn't a point at which the government would just give up and say the secessionists won.
>>
>>30291567
So your saying if a group of commandos started buying up tracts of land in Arazona, and fortifying the land into one large armored compound, and then declared themselves a new country, the same thing that happened to Waco would happen to us? Hypothetically.
>>
>>30291488

Probably FBI.

They'll just cordon off the area and harass people that enter/leave until your credit cards get declined and you have to go back to the real world.

If you actually partake in illegal activities, or do something that could be construed as being remotely illegal you can expect Ruby Ridge 2: electric boogaloo.
>>
>>30291600
Would they really care if it was only a couple dozen people and a couple dozen square miles?
>>
>>30291673
Yes.
>>
>>30291641
The only form of currency will be ammo. And we will grow our own food

>>30291700
Man, the government are a bunch if buzz kills.
>>
Ok, so instead of seceding, what about finding a nice un-inhabited island, settling it, and claiming it as our own?
>>
>>30291952
Sure. Until China claims its theirs because the word 'ocean' has the letters C and A in it.
>>
>>30291488
a over 200+ atleast, with lots of large muntions to defend against apcs, tanks, aircraft
>>
>>30291952
How many nice Uninhabited islands do you think are left that can support a decent sized population with food and water?
>>
>>30291600
This.

Why the fuck would you try to seize land from the strongest military (by far) in the world?

Just go to the fucking middle east or Africa. Maybe an island in se Asia and still you could get fucked by Indonesia if you try to take anything from them.

How do you think armed citizens can resist bombing from modern planes or armors and elite commandos?
I mean in a global uprising against tiranny you can practice gorilla warfare and have the public sympathies. But defending fixed positions is retarded.
>>
>>30291673
very much so. because it would set a precedent for other groups and once that happens they're fucked.
>>
>>30291673
They wouldn't really care.
There are several micronations in the US already. They're just not going to acknowledge your existence unless you're not paying taxes

Something that people often forget and fail to consider when discussing the Civil War and/or the inevitable sequel, is that in the American Civil War huge numbers of American military officers, enlisted men, and whole entire garrisons defected from the US. Imagine if Fort Hood stopped reporting to their normal command structure and instead reported to Austin, TX.

>But the US Army would never ignore direct orders!
They did in 1861. What makes you think it won't happen again?
>>
>>30296771
You're equally delusional if you could think you can seize land from third world countries with just plinking training.
>>
>>30297015
Technically there was no US Army in the 1861.

The end of WWII literally saw the creation of America's first standing army. While the Volunteer Militia Armies faded into irrelevance by the end of the Spanish American War.
>>
>>30291602
they've got more than tanks and buttloads of flammable tear gas now, anon; you can bet they'll be itching for a hard target to try it on, always prepared ,III.
>>
>>30297112
besu, standing armies is treasonable under the constitution, literally levying war with budgets funding them for far longer than two years at a time
>>
>>30297112
>Technically there was no US Army in the 1861.

I've never seen such ignorance on /k/. If there was no standing American military force, then who raided Indians in the West prior to the Civil War? Who ran West Point? Who garrisoned forts across the nation? Who won the goddamn Mexican-American war?

Quibble over definitions of a "standing army" if you like, but there has been a core US military force in the continental US going back to the 1780s. That was the United States Army in its contemporary form.

This one has the word "Florida" in its title, yet disappointingly not scary.

Idea: acquire an off shore plant of sorts. Like an old oil platform or a research facility. Make sure it is in international waters. populate it with /k/ommandos and the like. Start a greenhouse on one of the struts for food. You could provide PMC services to neighbouring countries to make money. And claim yourself as an independent nation. You'll have your own little slice of heaven. You could even call it something like Outer Heaven. And it would be the Mother Base of your operations. It would have to be ran by a Boss, hopefully one of large stature. You might even get a nuke if you're lucky.

Some war torn regions have other things on their mind before looking at the band of retards having sex with their mosin raifus on a fortified hill but you are right

>>30298063
This looks better, you'd have to look for EEZ definition and fishing zones issues with neighbouring countries.

Best option IMHO would be to actually buy a bloody island from a micro nation in the pacific, populate it, become self reliable ans then negotiate more and more autonomy (in terms of laws self determination etc) like Spanish regions for ex.

You guys are doing it all wrong. Go to some place that is war torn or plagued by bad economy or a natural disaster. Like Haiti or some shit.

>sugar plantation
>locals provide slave labor
>allow a way to work your way to "freedom" by serving as a soldier
>profits from plantation buy arms & build defenses
