I don't know much about guns so I figured I would come here to ask what exactly is so scary about this other than it looking military? Why is this somehow worse than everything else?

There is nothing wrong with it. It shoots .223/5.56 NATO. It's a fun range toy.
Liberals hate it. Its effectively the Ford F-150 of guns: super popular, does everything you need, but people think it's "too much".
Truth is, the government wants to take it and will use bleeding heart liberals as their people to do it with.

Ike the military version. Semi auto, one trigger pull equals one bullet fired. Standard capacity magazine, that one has an optic mounted, does not make it a sniper rifle. A Ruger Mini 14 works the same way, but looks more fudd like, so is judged less.
