That's not M1/M2 helmet m8. That is M80 helmet, which is smaller, lighter (it is made from ballistic nylon instead of steel) and fit more snugly compared to M1. Shit is popular in other countries as well (Iraq, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, and some random african countries use them)

It's pretty good mix imo. Brown lowers help blend into the ground with grass and shrubbery adding detail, and the top helps you blend in with the green stuff higher off the ground. Even let's you greyman a bit if you have flat color bottoms.

It looks like it has some good components, but overall it continues this worrying trend of piling more shit on top of soldiers. The amount of personal protective equipment and electronics and required gear is nuts. I'm no luddite, but the ability of a soldier to concentrate on his surroundings without being weighed down is highly undervalued.
The 'Dynamic weight distribution' spine is exactly an example of what I'm talking about. It seems like a neat invention, but the fact that it needs to exist at all should be a warning call about how overloaded troops are.
