This shooting is much more dangerous than Sandy Hook since the left now has hard proof of a terrorist act committed on US soil against Americans using guns bought legally in the US. It's not about American people being dumb, it's just people in general. Only difference is since those 250 years of stupid is we still have most of our 2nd amendment rights intact (aside from shit states) which is something that can't be said for most of the European countries that fell long ago to the same ideas of gun restriction that flood media sites with every one of these shootings.
Honestly at this point we should all know by now that this fight is a fight that we can never end. We will always be on the defensive when it comes to protecting what should be seen as and is a human right. What sucks even more is that the fight will always get hectic whenever a shooting like this happens. What this anon said is basically what's been happening:
They're essentially trying to legislate away the randomness of death.
It's the reason why they don't care about black gang members shooting each other, but they shit their pants over mass shootings.
Because they're terrified of the knowledge that their life could be instantly and pointlessly ended at any point. They see mass shootings as something that "could happen to them". They don't involve them-selves in crime, they don't go to shady neighborhoods and they don't take drugs, but the randomness, unpredictability and pointlessness of mass shootings hits too close to home for them.
This is the exact same mindset that leads to preppers, they've just reached a different conclusion.
