There were some pilots in my unit(a Kiowa squadron) that got so excited about engaging a truck target that they ended up flying into the truck and both pilots died. I can't imagine the how the officer felt who had to tell their wives they fucking flew into the goddamn truck.

They are CAS pilots that pushed their airframe to the limits and literally leaned out the side of the helicopter with an m4 and shot Taliban while flying. They fly over targets and drop smokes and frags on them. They have rockets and machine guns and the pilots would buzz convoys and do tricks and generally hotdoggery.
They saved a lot of lives by getting down in the shit and risking themselves and their aircraft.
over here in New Zealand we had something called Venison recovery essentially the government made deer farming a massive tax break. Cue mad cunts jumping out of helicopters onto running deer before they figured out other ways of capture, in some of the roughest terrain you will find
