I'm new to CC and I have a problem.
I carry a g26 with extended grip in a desantis pro stealth and for the life of me can't get the gun to lay flat against my body. What am I doing wrong?

Move the holster back a little.
Thinking of your body as a clock, try around the 4:30ish or 5-o'clock position.
I also carry a G26 and am a skinnyfag, and that position usually is best.
The 3-o'clock position is pretty bad for CC unless you're using a super tiny gun or wearing a super loose cover garment.
Also you might want to try different holsters, I went through like 5 before I found one I really like.

First of all, why are you worried about it laying flat against your body?
This has to be b8, but just change the position. Try appendix or 1:00-2:00 carry. No matter how skeleton you are it comes down to what position you have the gun on around your waist.

here's my holster. I don't ever feel comfortable carrying a gun CCW without a thumb break. I feel like if I roll too far forward, or do anything physical that the gun will fall out.
This is the only IWB holster for the Block 26 with a thumb break.

Still failing to see the issue, but if it's discomfort, sounds like you might want to look into a better/different holster and/or belt.
If your weapon showing or even printing is your concern, that will either take some time to get used to or just face that carrying a gun might be a bit too much responsibility for you. And no, before you think about taking it personally, it isn't unheard of for people not to carry because it makes them feel uncomfortable or more vulnerable. Unless you have military or tactical training, you should be running from shooting situations anyways.

I would advise looking into modern kydex holsters again. They can be thinner than leather, and that matters for concealment. I understand your reluctance to not have a thumb break, but I think that you would be better served by a friction retention holster. It will be thinner, less likely to snag your shirt, and give you a quicker draw.

Single belt clip holsters do nothing to pull the butt of the gun in around the curve of your hip, you want a multi-clip holster for that.
With the same holster if you want the butt to protrude less you need to either move it further around into the flat of your back or further forward to 3 o'clock so the depth of your torso drapes your shirt over it better.
instead of carrying at 3oclock move it to 4 or 5 and see how that works.
