Someone really needs to consider doing a CFA patch.
It's like Kojima visited /k/ and then deposited all our hopes and dreams into a fictional PMC in 1980's Africa. Diamond Dogs was far too politically and culturally sensitive in their mercenary work. CFA was where its at and operated in the real Africa.
Allow me to make a case:

Rogue Coyote seems to have more black soldiers than the CFA or Zero Risk, so that would make sense if they're Rhodesian. That would also explain why half of them operate shirtless.
I once eavesdropped on 2 Rogue Coyote soldiers discussing the merits of apartheid. Super funny conversation. Fun fact: the CFA and Rogue Coyote both have soldiers who wear a Pattern 83 chest rig.

i used to have an interest in the buying and selling of patches. my knowledge is pretty out of date because it just got too big and my interest waned. i can say that i never paid stupid money for a patch like some of the guys did. tiquestar is the only person whose work ever got reliably into the three digit price range and only because he used other people's ip (star wars, some anime, various other franchises) as a thematic base for his work. he is a good artist in his own right because he does do graphic art professionally.

i prefer people be able to get all the patches they want because it sucks to have people buying stuff just for profit or buying more than what they actually want to keep just for profit (especially when it's a run of say 100 patches and everyone goes and buys 2-5 which means that many more don't get to buy when they just wanted 1). flipping things for profit has been around for ages but it doesn't change the fact that something that originally cost $6-9 now costing $50 on the secondary is retarded. if they do do a single run they should make it to order so it keeps with demand.
while I don't always agree with mark's (WGW) patch design choices I do like how he keeps making runs from time to time for those who may have never seen a patch until it's already too late and a run is sold out
I still haven't gotten a LLHC or idolbl@ster patch but meh, I'm a love live fan.

By designs do you mean characters? Specifically regarding the GuP patch, that was a commission from and drawn by one of our regular artists, with copyright for the piece itself transferred to us upon completion.
