So I bought a new wasr 10 and the furniture that century is putting on the new wasr is absolutely terrible. I put like 300 rounds through it and the but stock cracked and fell off. What the fuck kind of wood are they using? Feel like cedar or a cheap pine. Is Berch wood really that expensive they can't make a stock set out of decent quality wood?

>the AK, where after 300 rounds, even the wood starts to break
>>30232651
I ended up replacing the cheap shitty wood with a surplus ak74 stock set that I got from apex for $50.
>>30232655
>Century uses cheap shitty non milspec wood stock to meet 922r and it falls apart.
Ok. Fix it with real ak furniture problem Solved.
Should have gotten an N-PAP.
They're much better for the same money if you can live with the weird Yugo siderail and furniture

Lol my rifle was made in 1964 and has the original stock on it with over 20k rounds downrange and it still prints a 3" group at 100 yards and the wood is solid to this day.
Americans just don't want to put in the effort to make decent quality ak parts because people settle for the shitty cheap stuff.
>>30232722
Century is putting the same shitty wood furniture on them too now.
>>30232722
I already have a older npap that came with original furniture before century changed it to the new shit they make.
Liar you broke it like that trying to beat it out of the receiver
>>30232691
>non milspec wood stock
>non milspec
Which spec are you referring to?
>>30232728
But AK's are supposed to be indestructible and very very cheap!
Are you telling me I can't buy a $200 AK and expect it to work through a 76 million rounds?
>>30232761
No seriously the shit straight up cracked like that from just shooting the rifle.
>>30232779
Soviet milspec.
>>30232791
No. It didnt
If it did it would be on the rifle...and not tossed aside for your better wood. There is no reason to lie. Be a good op and tell the truth
>>30232739
False. Zastava supplies the furniture. Century replaces the pistol grip with a somewhat cruddy plastic one as a compliance part, along with the tapco trigger group, piston, and muzzle brake.
The polymer ones might have American furniture, but who the fuck wants polymer AKMs anyway.
>>30232648
this was dropped. you can tell by how it cleaved.
Looks like a good excuse to get some nice wood or plum furniture for it, OP. The new WASR's are straight as an arrow and great guns, but the wood is lacking (922r and whatnot as mentioned). AKOU touched on the furniture sucking too.
It also can't "fall off" with the damage pictured. So actually nigger your rifle was fine
>>30232671
Didn't see this. Good call, OP. Just get rid of that aids-dick muzzle device. If you're set on a 74 brake use an adapter and get a real one. I had that on my Romanian G build for a while. Went back to wood and a slant brake though.

Um ok see for yourself.

Wrong.
They stopped replacing the piston and opted for new US made furniture on NPAPs and WASRs.
NPAPs no longer have the oar fuckhuge stocks, they're shaped more like the AKM.

How the fuck am I supposed to raft down the Volga like a drunken Slavic huckleberry now?
