Is it possible to mod a nerf gun to the point where its lethal? You can mod the gun to make more power and glue a tack onto the end or the dart. That means you can probably break the skin from 15 feet out. Next step would be to coat the needle in some kind of poison or AIDS blood or something. Any ideas /k/?
If you had the right knowledge, you could build a deadly projectile weapon in your home for like 60 bucks.

Make sure you don't have any copper residue on anything you use to make that, since it's a catalyst to start the reaction that makes those crystals. If you're careful they'll literally crystallize your darts into the barrel of your nerf gun and it won't fire.

...which did not work most of the times. Sabot, or rather shotcup, tended to not separate (the front part is not supposed to separate, the rear part should have) which induced a jawing movement after impact - which in turn was bad for the reusability of the darts.

Mk4b is a Mk4 nail and tape design, but instead of a discarding sabot it is superglued into a conically sharpened short dart.
Mk5 is a radically new, yet simple design: a nail with the head clipped off, being heated over an open flame (a candle, for instance) and then being pressed into the top of an otherwise unmodified dart. This of course only works with the light blue, solid hard cap darts. This results in an AP dart that retains most of the flight charactaristics of a normal dart, but has much greater cardboard penetration power.
