What are some of the crudest, simplest weapons that were ever issued to modern fighting forces? I'm looking for firearms and other modern equipment that was made with cost and simplicity as the leading factors.

I heard that the Russians had some sort of launcher in WWII that lobbed blown glass orbs filled with some sort of explosive. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Starting with obligatory Sten.

STEN guns make me rock hard. I hypothetically almost wish I could find the schematics for a possibly full auto version/variant of such a device that would in no way ever be constructed.

IIRC, the Syrians used an AK that was retooled for 8mm kurz. It looks the same as an AKM but everything inside has been refit and modified for the smaller cartridge.

I can't find a pic of it that shows off the work that was done so here's an Armenian standard issue sniper rifle. Why yes, it is essentially a nugget action in an AK pattern rifle.

Except designed by someone with a history of making shit that would explode if chambered in anything other than blanks. Pic related is the bolt from the MAC build, it's heavy enough to be safely used in something chambered in .32 ACP and anything more is risking it exploding in your hand.

>>30227296
Subguns can be made for much cheaper than rifles due to how straight blowback allows one to use much shittier materials.

That's why it says to add cobalt inserts, which makes the bolt a lot heavier. .32 makes sense for micro designs, however.

On the subject of volkspistols here's the scrap metal pistol design being test fired. He's making the .380 pistol design also.

Doesn't help when, to my knowledge, he never lists how much one needs it to weigh. Also in his earlier books his wording makes it sound optional.

Although it was only produced in small numbers, the International Ordinance MP2 deserves a place here.

Also, here's a simplified garage version.

>'Tungsten', sorry.. It says to add five on the bolt page.
Nope, all it says it:
>Additional weight can be added by drilling out and inserting tungsten bars or partially filling the back of the bolt with lead
Also the original has no mention of .32 ACP like the version you posted does. Making an edited version to add more or correct mistakes is okay and does make sense, but you should mark it as the edited version so people know that they have the newest one and not older original. The fact that he can't even own up to how he made changes makes him a complete piece of shit and makes me trust his designs even less than I already did.

>Are some people too retarded to understand circumstance?
Except homemade handguns accomplish almost everything the Luty SMG accomplishes (minus the full auto part and being able to hold the gun further out with your other hand) with the downside of being slightly harder to make and homemade multi barrel shotguns outperform the Luty SMG in every way and are easier to make.

The Métral SMG(the one in your picture) is designed to be built BOTH as a part of clandestine operations as well as at home where improvisation might be requiered. Gerald Métral does not recommend the latter, but it is functional, and will get the job done.

I'm currently in an argument with some dolt on YouTube who reckons that the offset sights on the BREN made it inaccurate at anything but long range.
Apparently because he's shot an AR with offset sights his opinion entirely counteracts the opinion of the people who used it in combat....
>>
>>30236348
>I'm currently in an argument with some dolt on YouTube
Ask him if Krauts are three quarters inch wide because that's about how far the sights are offset if I recall correctly.

Unless he's shooting at something point blank that's the size of a Kennedy half-dollar it's not going to matter how far the sights are offset.
